I live in the Lake Tahoe, Nevada area and we just got 3 feet of snow my suggestion, don't drive or you'll jack up your baby. Or if you dont mind looking like an idiot drive up the hill in reverse. Go fake front wheel drive!

yeah we just got a good storm the other week. around 10" at my house. went to work with no snow, drove home as a plow. the drive wasnt to bad other then getting stuck 20ft from my driveway. sense then we have had smaller snow storms, and temps that never go over 30. so we have to salt all the streets witch i really hate. but its ok.

I live in Cleveland, We get alot of lake effect snow. 7" on the ground right now. I have a 96 with an LSD. I have Goodyear Eagle GT all the way around. I have found that weight in the rear helps TREMENDOUSLY. I drive 45 miles one way to work every day. The LSD does help as well.. When your taking off it disributes the power better. Anyone who says it does not help doesn't drive alot in the snow. It took a little getting used to but I don't have any problems any more. Here is a pic from this morning. It is kinda dark but you get the idea. My advise... get good rubber throw 50-75 pounds in the trunk and go for it.

RWD with lots of torque just requires practice to drive in snow. I have driven RWD all my life, ya gotta go easy on the throttle to get moving, starting in second or third gear helps a lot of course tyres with good size sipes (sideway slots cut into the tread) helps too. Unfortuneatly I have AVS-ES100s and they have practically no snow grip. You have to pay attention to what kinda ground yer on. Wet and slushy snow is like water which is ok. In dry snow ya gotta be careful, dont go too hard into corners or ya might push. If the rear starts to kick out and you have some room, steer smoothly into the skid, straighten slowly so as not to skid the other way. To regain rear traction put in the clutch (get off the gas if yer auto) and let the rear wheels match the ground. Then slowly let the clutch back in to pick up momentum. One of the big things is to maintain momentum, if ya gotta, trucker/cali stop at stopsigns.Chi-town snow fun

I live on the east side of Cleveland close to 271. I work in Perry , right by the nuke plant. Perry is were we have been getting all the lake effect snow. We had 22" yesterday. Cleveland only got about 3". Like I told the other guy... get some good snow treads and some weight in the back and you will be fine.

driving in snow rocks, wish I didn't crash my 240 a couple months ago. yeah lake effect snow sucks. Because after the snow storm it keeps snowing. Its light fluffy stuff that sucks for now ball fights. Well I will continue to drive the maxima. Nick
