Altiman - $3K.

James - Those sheepskins are nasty, but they're covering up some splits in the factory leather... For now. :)

Brett - Thanks buddy!

For now, get it back to "as new" condition mechanically and cosmetically. Doesn't need much.

I have shocks and springs for it, and some 18x7.5 gunmetals, so I'll do that as well... BRM catback (of course) with the dual tips. :)

DOH - I just realized I didn''t put the BOOT on it when I took pics with the top down! That boot is a super rare part apparently.

haha.....make sure to get some pics when you put the new wheels on and such. I don't know how much longer I'll be a Nissan owner, but definately not leaving this forum even if i'm not a Nissan owner anymore.

did it have a new top put on? What kind of shape is it in?

evil vinyl rippey tops! Water treated canvas is superior.

wait, did they use canvas from the factory?

Boot = cover for the top when it's down... yep.

James, it's canvas. Original fabric used by ASC when they did the conversion. Vinyl = teh suck.

I'll replace the top later, the rear window is really foggy but the top's not in bad shape at all....

can't argue there.

it was just a fast Grandma car though.

not like my manly notchy annoying heavy clutch pedal beast of a car.:D

it was almost like driving an automatic when I drove Skwerel's 240 back from the ATL earlier...

I wondered about the GN though, you'd think they'd give it a manual option, I mean really...it was targeted at racers (granted, they're drag and an auto means super holeshot but still)

is there a good aftermarket support for the transmission used in the car though? I don't know much about the 240 auto, though I'll assume it's probably borrowed or shared with 2 or 3 other vehicles...

Speaking of which ... who just bought a very very clean S13 vert? :D

And what is it some of our members like to refer to new 240 owners as ... ah yes. Teh bandwagon.

It's ok though, there's enough hay seats on this bandwagon, even for you old timer, welcome aboard! :ylsuper

I should so jump out behind the band wagon in the T Bird with a chainsaw...

it'd be like one of those cheesy hayrides at Halloween!

What I should really do is become a professional drifter with the car and start an SC bandwagon....I think the SCCOA would shoot me for that, all the ricers buying the ones they can find and throwing horrid graphics and lights on them...ugh.

Think I'll stick with the plan to buy a Ranchero and rival that guy with the El Camino...

sounds like you got a heck of a deal on it. I, too, just boughta new car. 02 Merc. Cougar. I'm lovin every second of its leather seated smooth revvin goodness. It's not fast, just very very smooth. Im glad to let my 240 go with all its problems.

I don't like the boot that much. It's too much hassle for me. In a given nice day, the top can go up and down quite a few times, and I don't like having to do work to put it up and down. Hell, having to manually put the quarter windows up is almost too much for me.

When you do the rear struts, get yourself a ratcheting box end wrench. You will thank yourself 20 times over if you do. There's not enough room to get a normal ratchet wrench on top of those nuts.
