duude, it happens. everyone around arlington drifts the streets.. yes its bad, but theres not many other options besides waiting for mineral wells once a month.

my first drift/curb accident happened because my ADD kicked in lol. I was mid drift and my mind went off and forgot about what i was doing and slammed into a curb. Snapped my control arm and drove home on it lol

whats done is done and as long as you learn from what happened, youre better for it.

thanks for the advice kid.

Looks like you haven't driven in a big city, have you? Try driving in chicago, for a change, or boston and ny, where I was before. It is not how I am driving... It is how other people are driving and pop out in front or in the side of my car. It is what they say, stay alarmed.

If you are not doing the same, please don't come any northern.

Anyways, I am not boosted or anything, so I can hear my engine, I know that I have gas, and I maintain her so she doesn't overheat. So, I know my speed and I can feel the revs, so no point on admiring my gauges all the time. But I guess that's advanced driving, right?
ahh mr. know it all

i used to live in chicago so suck it. i know how to drive and i dont worry about wrecking my car because i know how to drive. if someone hits me its not going to be my fault. i know the rules of the road and i dont rush to do anything when i drive. no point in it.

also once you owned a boosted or swapped car, you realize how important it is to look at your gauges.

thanks for moving to TN. really appreciate it.

ok you know how to drive, you convinced me... not.

I, on the other hand, do worry if a stupid, careless dude (whose engine temperature is going up, wtf) wrecks my car, because I usually have people inside. For the car, I don't care, I am paying my freaking expensive insurance. Oh, yeah, and I need to be able to walk the next day.

The most useful advice that I have gotten when I started driving was to be prepared for the worst. You don't know how stupid the driver infront of you can be. (Well, now, I have an idea)

that's why I mentioned that in the first place. still I think that the most important think is to watch the road. you are not flying a 747.

haha i think it was my ADD also. i was looking at the brake light on the dash. thought it was cool cause when i was pulling G's the brake fluid would move to the side and would trigger the brake fluid switch. haha.
SilviaSpec-R wrote:lol. i think its happened to a bunch of people. i shattered my right front hub bearing, inner and outer tie rods in my 95 240sx. thank god that was it. but i learned that if you leave a bar with 2 other buddies and your bar tab was just under $300 you might be drunk. funny part is, that was the last night ive ever drank and drove home cause when i hit the curb it was in a neighborhood and i ran through the stop sign and went into a yard, took out the powerbox, and phone box. my buddy said i lost my shoe in the bushes and i was more worried about that than the car. we later found out why they never turned on lights in the house or 5.0 were called. bad night to say the least.
i knew i wasnt the only one haha

wow you make it out like i stare at my gauges while im driving the whole time. i glance down at them at once or twice a minute. its a habit.

and this is argument is pointless.

oh man, that really hurt my feelings... yeap it's kind of pointless, but still it is better than BTL with free posts maybe I should instead start a thread asking on how to throw a turbo on my s14

RB: Yeah man, I'll take it easy, it's only the internetz anyways.

go up to Lime Rock in CT, no tolls and it's closer. englishtown is a better track, but lime rock fits the schedule and budget better.

LOL. ahh hitting curbs. I have hit a curb once. It was raining. I didnt want to go out. I dont like to drift in the rain. I give it to much gas and spin out. My buddy called me and wanted to take him for a ride. He is a police officer. I laugh at him when he called. He kept bothering me. I said ok. We went out. For a while everything was going well. Came to my favorite turn. Took it too fast for the rain. Spun around backwards. Went a** first up a curb into someones front yard. It was 2am. No one was around. I didnt brake anyone elses property... except a little grass. Drove home. I check around. I dented the rim, and broke my passenger side rear wheel bearing. I learned my lesson. After that, stopped doing in on the streets. ahh memories. I do all track now.... except a little country side fun.
