Bought my 97 HB with 102K on it and finally died at 265K. A buddy I coon hunt with has a 91 with 387K on it, doesn't idlewell, but starts and drives good.

I bought my 95 a year ago she has 150k and still running strong , just waiting for the KA to give out the its SR time

Wow, nice to know these things run for a long time...

But has anyone encountered any problems with their KA24DE they had to fix? I just got a Kouki S14 with a KA24DE that has 75k miles on it, recently hearing alot of ticking / rattle (most likely timing chain guides). Did anyone else encounter these problems too? And was the easy fix of removing the guides a good solution? Though it would be a good idea to ask here with all these high mileage running KAs

Also my car hasn't been tuned up for 2 years says the previous owner, going to do a full tune up soon.. anyone know what I should regularly maintain to get my KA to run for a long time too?

My new ka24de 240sx has 155k, still runs great! Just stupid timing rattle!
