I am pretty disapointed (just got back from the track). worst was a 15.2 and my best is a 14.0 @ 100, but I got a little ansy and turned it up to 15psi and put a little 110 in. I already have some more stuff to through on it, but I'm really discouraged at the moment. I think I'm still going to pursue it.:(

Whatever all this is about-you got me. Rb 20...thats cool. but the 100k invested just wont get you where you want to be. There arent enough tuners outthere who invest enough time in the rb20, because they know that its much more cost efficient to start with an rb25. You can do anything you want with 100k. But start with an rb25 to get where you want to be, and save yourelf alot of money, time and LAG. You can get an rb25 to the point you want with half or the expense. An rb26 is too much money too, and people who want big power out of them go single setup anyway. 800 rwhp isnt impossible with either motor...just easier with the rb25.

One other thing....there was this guy on ebay like 3 months ago, that was selling an s13 with a rb25 in it. This thing he said put down like 600 hp @the wheels. He sold it for 25k. Thats not bad considering the 100k dudes got to throw around. Hes only 200 hp away.P.s>dud said his 4th gear topped at like 157 mph-thats ****ing fast.

ITS FINE THAT YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, AND FEEL I'M FULL OF S***. I'M NOT OUT TO IMPRESS ANYONE THIS IS FOR MY OWN BENEFIT. AND TO THE COMMENT ABOUT NOT KNOWING ABOUT HIGH-END CARS, I DON'T DEAL WITH THOSE REALLY EXPENSIVE CARS, I WORK WITH VETTES, VIPERS, AMG SLK'S, BMW M5'S, AND ETC. YES ITS FINE THAT THE 25 IS A GOOD BASE BUT THE RB20 HAS AS MUCH OR MORE POTENTIAL I FEEL AND I'M GOING TO STICK WITH IT.

you have yet to tell us why exactly you believe having a 2.0 liter engine, is better than a 2.5 liter. are you just trying to be unique and special? you arent going to be that special, people over in japan do it all the time. and they do NOT spend 100K on a car thats worth about 2K. think about it, those people who have that much money just go out and buy a skyline. theres a reason 240s arent up to par with supras, skylines, RX7's, 300z's, etc......

an RB20 is a good engine and yes it has potential, but the RB25 is used more for a REASON. you could have a 1000hp RB20 but the novelty of it would wear off soon and you wouldnt be that special. plus for the extra money you put into an RB20 you could just keep.

and dont be ignorant and claim that AWD slows you down at the drags. have you EVER raced AWD cars? traction is a good thing just look how many 10 second DSMs there are. they are popular for a reason. sure RWD is fun, but not getting traction sucks and if they made AWD 240s i would get one for dragging because it could kick a lot of ***. if you dont believe me, go and watch the video of the 10 second WRX.

you also have to be realistic about all this, a 12 second car will beat most of the other cars out there on the street, most people fail to realize that. have you ever driven a 10 second camaro on a highway and then pull off onto the offramp at like 65mph? its incredibly hard to control, and i know people who have crashed cars like that simply because the car is too powerful.

you dont sound like a person that has been around very fast cars for a long time, you just sound like you've just seen 2 fast 2 furious too many times. seriously man, dont go spend all that money and realize you just pissed that money away on a car that will never return that kind of investment. besides, why dont you do the smart thing and invest that money into your business or save it up? whats the point of trying to blow 100K when i can tell you arent even out of college, let alone over the age of 25. now dont get your panties in a bunch and yell at me because its pointless. keep your head on straight and listen to everyone else, they are trying to point you in the right direction.

yeah, I agree. Don't spend 100k on an rb20. Buy a RWD Skyline if you don't like AWD. Or if you really want to do an RB20 you could build it to around 500hp for like $20k and have a supoer fast car and another $80k... buy a couple skylines or other 240s. Heck, you could have 240sx's with a ca18, sr20, rb, rb25, and rb26 for $100k. Just get all the different models :D

OK YES I HAVE RACED AWD CARS ARE THEIR BIGGEST PROBLEM IS LAUNCH. I GREW UP AROUND THE RACING SCENE (DRAGS, STOCK CARS, ROAD RACING) I HAVE ONLY SEEN THEM PERFORM IN ONE TYPE ROAD RACING. THE HAVE IMPECABLE HANDLING AND CORNERING TRACTION, THUS MAKING THEM HELLA FAST FOR THAT TYPE OF RACING. AWD IS DESIGN FOR HANDLING NOT DRAG RACING. THATS WHY MOST AWD CARS THE CUT THE FRONT WHEEL CONTROL OUT, MAKING THEM WHAT? RWD!

ON TO THE RB20 QUESTION. THE RB20 WILL NOT STAY 2.0 LITER, I CHOOSE THAT ENGINE BECAUSE OF ONE THING HAVE YOU SEEN THE CYLINDER WALLS IN THE RB20 AND 25? THERE IS A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT MORE WALL. IN THE LONG RUN I'LL HAVE MORE PLAY FOR MY ENGINE INTERNALS. YES I DO PLAN ON SLEEVING THE WALLS NO MATTER, AND THEN CRYO FREEZING FOR MORE TOLERANCE. I JUST SEE THE RB20 AS A GOOD BASE FOR MY PERSONAL PROJECT. AND BY THE WAY THE RB20 CONVERTING INTO A 2.5 LITER STROKER WOULD HAVE MORE TORQUE THAN A RB25 INTO A 2.6 LITER WOULD EVER HAVE. TORQUE EQUATES TO BREAK NECK ACCELERATION OR IF OVER APPLIED ABSOLUTELY NO TRACTION. I KNOW WHAT I WANT THE CAR TO DO AND I HAVE BEEN MAPPING OUT THE PROCESS. I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES AND I KNOW WHAT I WANT/NEED. JUST REMEMBER WHEN IT COMES TO MY PROJECTS I ALMOST NEVER HAVE TO HAVE A REASON TO DO IT THE WAY I DO.
