How fresh are those tires and how long have you been driving hard on them? I have had customers complain of drivability issues with seperated belts in a tire, or bubbles that havent been noticable yet. Drive it around and switch tire positions, also burn off that flat spot ;p.

Those tires have six track days under their belt, with about 500 miles on the street. They did excellently in my opinion.

Can't really burn off the flat spot... it took it down to almost no tread on the front tire.

So, I've ordered a new set of tires and they'll be going on the car prior to my next event (May 22nd). Toyo Proxes R888 255/40/17 and 275/40/17 hehe.

In regards to wheel studs, I've been looking at the Nismo product. Anyone know of high-quality extended stud at a cheaper price than $70 for 10 or $7 per stud? Also, do I need to get 300zx studs because of my brakes (300zx)?

Can't wait to get this stuff and the new flares on the car...

Depends on hubs (wheel studs to get).

some are 14.3 knurl. some are 13 mm knurl. what hubs are you running?

i doubt it's a the drive shaft it is, any good local drive shaft shop can re balance it for you.

Good question, I have no idea. I shall find out.

Thanks! No progress yet, as the car has been on jacks since the last track day. I probably won't have the chance to experience that speed again until June because the SCCA course at Bremerton doesn't really have a long straight.

I'm with Didderson about your wheels. it could be bent a little bit or missing weights. swap out your wheels front to back if you can

Are you still running carrier bearing that holds the drive shaft up . If you arent then the lenth of the drive shaft would make any little vibration seem greater at higher speeds . Most aftermarket driveshafts dont have it . I wouldnt think your vibration was coming from the flat spot cause you would of felt that at even lower speeds . Your problem has to do with something spinning faster as your speeds increased (eingine/driveshaft/wheels/axels) . Those would be the things i would check .

Hope that helps
