I have been having problems with my duce, and it all starts in the morning when I start my car. I let it warm up for a couple of minutes, and then I leave to go to work. I only work about 15 minutes away. But I am on the way to work, and I have to stop for a light or stop sign, the car just starts idling up and down. It can dip as low as 500 rpms, and the it jumps to 1100, and then back down, for a couple of seconds and then it stops. Also if I stay stopped, some times the idle jumps up on its own. I have no idea what it is. Can someone help? I checked the air filter already, and it is clean. what could it be? Sorry, before I forget, I have a 95 240, with a 5 speed, and with about 164k on the clock.

Can someone help on this one? I hate to take it in to a shop. Like someone said in another post "any smart a** comments are welcome!"

Go check this thread out:zerothread?id=254278

I have the exact same issue, with the added issue that mine will almost completely die if the car is rolling (at any speed) when I push the clutch in. I plan on doing all the above very soon...

And go here for a lot of useful info:zerothread/253879

Good luck.

Just an update for you bro...I installed some grounding wires (went to autozone and got 19 inch long 4 gauge battery cable wires for like 5 bucks each) and pulled my CAI off to clean the throttle body. After cleaning the throttle body and the plate itself, I noticed my idle doesn't drop down when out of gear slowing down. It used to hit 400 RPMs and almost stall out till I came to a complete stop, then it would go back up to 1100 RPMs. Well, cleaning the throttle body fixed the dropping down part, then I just adjusted the idle adj screw on the IACV (clockwise to drop the idle, counter-clockwise to raise it, FYI) and now she purrs at about 750 -- 800 RPMs. So, go try this cause it worked for me.
