INTRODUCTION: There will be multiple causes and it will take work but it can be fixed without buying a bunch of parts.

First, clean your throttle with carb cleaner.Check your grounds:

Ground is the connection between negative terminal of battery and engine chasis and other metal parts of car. Usually black wires bolted to different metal parts of car. These bolts can be rusted which reduces contact. ie from negative battery terminal to engine to firewall, etcGround kitGround-checking

Remove or disconnect AIV:AIV removal(PAIR valve)

Clean IACV:

IACV AAC cleaning & electrical trouble-shooting

Adjust your TPS- it should read between .4 and .5 volts. Its actuallyquite sensitive. .8 volts will cause havoc with your idle. Ohm readings can be within spec and voltage will still be out. Loosen two screws holding tps and rotate until you get correct voltage. important.

Raising idle helps because it raises the floor on the idle making it less likely to stall. You are just opening up an orifice that is not controlled by the computer.
