So I'm thinking about changing to some sort of HID headlights for my Qx4 and just wanted some opinions from people who already have done this. things like what brand they use. tips and tricks etc. I would really like to do a Bi-xenon system to have highs and lows. Any info would be great.

i did a bixenon kit (hi and low) in my 2000 qx4 and it was alright.... you will end up with quite a bit of unwanted glare, it's going to blind oncoming traffic...

But it lights up the road like you wouldn't believe.... if you live somewhere where the roads are dark and empty, the popular chinese HID kits would be just fine but i wouldn't recommend it if you live in the city like me.... too many people flashing their lights at me.. one time i even blinded a cop, he turned on his spot light and shined it right in my face as revenge!!

So i installed factory Nissan HID's off a Japanese Nissan Terrano Regulus. MAN OH MAN are the bright AND the cutoff line is ridiculous.... whenever i give people a ride, they are usually shocked as soon as i turn my lights on, plus no more blinding people!!

Well thanks for showing me what I really want. are these a plug and play application? and are they just the low beams? and the most important question, how do i go about finding a pair of these? I'm assuming they are not cheap but they look like they may be worth the money.

Price isn't the main problem... getting the lights to the US is the problem. These are big bulky glass lights that come attached with HID ballasts, auto leveling system, city lights... heavy and bulky!!

Nissan Terrano Regulus lights are a direct bolt on, plug-n-play for any 97-99 QX4 (with glass headlights). To fit to a 99.5-00 (which comes with plastic headlights) like I did, it requires cutting up the radiator support and changing the light sockets from 9003 to 9004.

You can also convert your front end to 2001-2004 HID.... you will have to do some work to make the lights fit but its been done before here on Nico...

Or you can do a projector retrofit
