Trying to retrofit a bulb with an axial "filament" like a D2S/R into a housing designed for a H3 bulb with a transverse filament isn't a good idea. The filament cannot be put in the proper location and the beam pattern/dispersion/cutoff will be terrible.

Also, a D2R(reflector) bulb is the bulb of choice for a Q45 retrofit since it has reflector lights.

very true. but hey, if they work for you, great.

its just feel its money that could be put to better use.
