HID color between g35/m35

I know I read this somewhere, but I cant seem to find it at the moment and was curious. I brought my 06 M35 in for some regular maintenance the other day and I got the 08 G35 as a loaner. At night, the HID lights seem to be brighter on the G35 than the M35 HID lights. Are they using two differnt colors between the two cars? I think I read that the M has the brightest already in there, but for some reason the G seemed brighter. Maybe its just me. The G also looks more blue in tint than the M when shining on the wall of the garage at night.

Also, do you have to buy the replacement bulbs from Infiniti or can you get them elsewhere for cheaper? I had aftermarket HID's in my Honda but I know this is a completely different system. How much is it to replace the Infiniti bulbs? How easy is it to install HID's in the foglights? Is it a plug and play like all the other aftermarket HID kits? Just curious for future reference.

You do not need to buy infiniti bulbs. you can get on ebay or other for cheaper. Switching your fogs to HID has been done and can be done but it eliminates the purpose of a fog light. Replacements should be under 100 bucks and make sure to replace both. I recommend you use Sylvania Silverstars in the fogs if you want them brighter without going HID.
