Hi guys. My friend told me to come check you guys out. I just got a 1991 240SX SE. It has 118k and is insanely clean. This is the original paint job too. There is not one mark of rust on it also. And no it is not a stick, it is an automatic, sadly.

It is all stock...so far, but it runs amazing as is, so I'm not even sure if I want to modify it just yet.

^ Who would want to drive around a stock 240sx?

It's not like it's some sort of collector car..

finding s13's that are unmolested and that clean is HARD. if it were mine it would stay that way.

Thanks guys. Yeah I wasn't looking to do anything major to it. I wanted to get the fog lights. Maybe also put a neon bar in the gap under the front bumper. I also wanted to see if I can change the color of the lights behind the odometer and stuff to red.

I saw it on one car and it looked kinda cool, plus if I don't like it there I could always put it under the door so when I open it the ground will light up.

Nice car, even if is autotragic. Do what fits your taste, you'll probably go through stages if you stick with it for a good while. I would start with good coils and wheels like the guy above said. Good luck

Welp. I got into an accident yesterday. :frown: Some guy slammed his breaks in front of me...in the rain. He was going through a yellow light and decided he wasn't going to, so I hydroplaned into him. The car runs but the front is a mess. The hood is bent up, the left side (Drivers side) of the car is fine, but the right side got pretty messed up. The headlight bent back and part of the quarter panel bent in. I need a new compressor. I don't know much about what happened under the hood because its jammed, and I won't pop it open. The batter might be cracked too. The bumper is surprisingly fine. I literally went under the guy's rear end, and of course only his muffler bent. The headlight on the drivers side is only down (partially) because I shut the lights off, it still moves.

The guy tried to take full responsibility for the crash but the officer was a real d!ck about it. Luckily, he wasn't that much of a d!ck, he didn't give me a citation. I have collision but my agent told me there is a possibility they might claim it as totaled. The insurance adjuster is coming tomorrow to look at it, they are also looking into the guy claiming fault. But I'm not giving up this car. All this on a first date with a girl too haha. What a night....

That's Def. Totaled.
Insurance agency's love to get 240's off the road for simple repairs like such.
but you could buy it back from them and fix it yourself, and do your own upgrades and make the car your own.
or not.
Easy come easy go i guess.

We'll see tomorrow. The agent told me it would be worth it to get collision too.

Theat reminds me of what happened to my 240, i bought it off my brother after he rear-ended a f-150. Then i fixed the front end and drove it around for 2 years or so, only to sell it to my buddy because of a bad headgasket, he had the car for less than 24 hours and insured for less than 3 hours when he thought he would be slick and drift it on an up hill bend only to find the front of a honda accord half-way through. The damage looks about the same aside from another buddy of mines' head print on the passenger side of the windsheild. What a shame, i'm sorry for your luck dude.

The insurance adjuster is coming sometime Wednesday now. I took it to a body shop and the guy estimated it is going to cost around $6,000. But he added in a lot of extras just in case, and said that if I find the parts I could ship them to the store and it will drastically cut down the price. Hopefully the insurance company will look into the other guy taking fault, that will do something good. And hopefully they wont give me a terrible price for my car if it is totaled, which is still unknown because everyone I talk to gives me a different answer.

Insurance usually values s13's out to 5k.

Maybe I can pull a guilt trip on the guy haha. I looked at the body shop estimate (which was done by my neighbor) and I already knocked like $700 off of it for things I noticed that don't need to be done, and I literally know nothing about cars. He over estimated the price and parts as is because he couldn't open the hood and such. Plus I found a guy who is parting out his '90 240SX which I can probably get a lot of parts off of.

Difference in locale.
Overhere in nassau insurance values used cars by how much they go for on the market.
Silvias usually go for around 5k here. so that's why.
also I knew this, i was just trying to give him a little hope and not shatter it.

Oh man :( It can be fixed for sure. Put some pics of the quarter panel damage up. It is crazy that the shock would travel that far.
