My name is díckíe but the wordfilter makes it show up as d!ck. I found this out when I came back to this site after being gone for a long time. I laughed.

I personally don't own any Nissans anymore, but my fiancee recently got a 2000 Maxima GLE. It's nice to not have to drive my Miata everywhere. I need to start browsing that section of the forums because her motor mounts seem to be bad. I almost forgot how much I hate working on FWD cars, but I know that I am going to be solely responsible for taking care of this one. My fiancee thinks it's pretty fast. I don't want to burst her bubble by giving her a ride in the Cressida when it's done, but it should be good enough for her either way.

Before you ask, I don't have pictures of her car. You can all probably guess what a dirty 5th gen Maxima looks like. She got it from some family friends and it looks like it was woman-driven its whole life. There's spilled glitter nail polish in the center console and door cups and there are more scratches on the doors than should be normal for even an 11-year-old car. But I buffed most of them out and she doesn't care too much since it's a car. Her last ride was a 1991 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition with bad brakes that almost rolled the car every time you came to a stop, destroyed leather interior and falling headliner, non-working power windows and as it sits now, a blown headgasket and cracked head.

I can't go in there, I only have a computer at work since I moved. I use my iPhone to check online stuff sometimes but forum browsing on it sucks.

I just realized that I have Z32 brakes on my Cressida, so at least there's some Nissan in my fleet.

You guys don't have to change the wordfilter, I like it.

it's funny that the filter doesn't work on your user name.

come to think of it, it would be funnier if it DID work on your user name. :)

Recently as in 2 years ago next month. Yeah. It sucked, but I actually met this one out of those circumstances. She is my ex's little sister's former best friend. Yeah I know, it is a really long and complicated story, and I'm still not done with all the lawyer crap yet. The experience has really changed me and after it's over I feel like I will be a completely different person.

I tried to write it all down once in case I wanted to remember everything. I think I filled up 2 and a half legal pads and that covered about 6 months, lol. It feels like I lost 5 years of my life and instead of there being a big hole, I wake up thinking I'm 21 years old and none of it ever happened. It's funny how your brain does stuff like that to keep you going.

So I got a new fiancee, I kept my dog and got another one to keep him company, rescued 2 turtles but one died, moved to a new house, sold my old Cressida twice, bought and sold a sport bike, sold my Gibson and used the money to pay for work on my 1JZ Cressida which I will hopefully be picking up within the next week. So that's where I am now.

Also, I wanted to pass a message along to some of the Nico staff that took it upon themselves to check up on me while I was going through some bad stuff, so if I can find their contact info I will. If not, I'll pass it along through Greg.

gf's maxima is still s***. but it runs and has cold a/c which is more than i can say about all of my cars. i broke down and spent the money replacing the busted motor mounts, it doesn't clunk but the trans still doesn't like to shift. she wants to ditch it for a mazda 3 and i support this. she doesn't know i'm going to make her buy a manual trans car though.

i drink a lot of beer and work 2 jobs. weekends im a mechanic/pit crew for a shop that runs an scca formula class. as in, they operate the whole business. we build the cars in-house and work on them constantly. it's been a neat experience so far.

miata runs and irritates all 5 senses of anyone close to it.

the x8 is down for maintenance.

the wagon runs, drives and is waiting on a 1uz swap to happen.

whats' up with you guys?

I blew my miata up and decided it would be a great idea to rebuild it bigger and stronger, and also buy another 240. Go figure.

Whats up?

Launched the rally car into the woods and banged it up all sorts of nasty, now spending all my time in the garage trying to put it back together.

We're currently in the process of building the Dime, then we're moving on to the Roadster. :-) I should say Greg instead of "we" because I haven't been out in the garage in a long time. :(

i think i saw ian's carnage pics. i'm going to search for them now. glad you're okay.

papasmurf, what's bigger and nastier mean? i still have rotary plans for mine, but i might try to junkyard turbo the 1.6 and kill it before i pull it since nobody wanted the engine with or without all the bolt-ons.

hi becky, i don't think i was around much when you joined so i guess i'll formally introduce myself: i'm chris. it's good to hear you and greg are doing well. i used to be able to get my gf in the garage and out in the junkyards with me, not so much anymore. it's cool that you wanna be out there though.

Fully built and forged bottom end, new (holeless) block, bored 1mm over, 600cc injectors. You know, the usual. Cranking the boost. I'll probably dyno tune it to a little over 300, and then dial it back to about 275 for daily use. I'll turn it up to 11 on special occasions.
