Seriously,

Go for something new and interesting with this rebuild. Originally, I must admit I thought you were foolish for getting a car that was beaten to hell... However, if you build it into something special, (like a convertible or at least a t-top), then I would see you as a pioneer... Maybe even reinforce the frame or lengthen the body...

If you built the car back to normal, I'm afraid I'd have to call it a waste of time/money/effort.

A new low-milage vehicle for 5-8 grand (or whatever it ends up being). It's obviously worth it to this person.

Awesome thread so far. Really looking forward to the outcome. Good luck with the rest of it.

I think most of the people looking at this thread are not looking this from the bright side. This might not be just a "I wanted to buy a good car for less money" thing, is more like a "I want to be able to rebuild this car"...

Mitsevo3 already said that he has the time, space and willingness to do this (and I'm guessing money as well) so this is just a challenge for him... It's like a grown up puzzle... So, from the way I see it, there's no "waste of money", he can spend $20,000, and if the result is a full-operating car, then congratz, as you were able to REBUILD a car, I know I wouldn't be able to do that (and it would be grrreat to be able to)...

Keep it up man

BTW... Don't you think it would be awesome to have a Before and After pic of this car saying "I did this!"...?

Hi guys, i done the hard parts today. all welding points are good!and i change the rear door window frame. the frame i got from a damaged door, i'm luck to find the door is for free from the junk yard where i bought the roof and all the used parts. and i check the Manheim Auction selling price today, It show me 2007 versa S average mileage(36728) retail price is $10,200, above mileage(18364) retail price is $11,250. My versa S only 9,543 miles, so what you guy think??? somebody side i spend too much money on this project, but how much they pay for it. maybe i so stupid to spend $1400 for this car. OK.. i'll spend $1200 for next one to made $200 more...
