Just get the 350 now if you can afford it. Most people swap to mtx. One or two people I think are boosted on cvt but constantly watch oil temps. One of the guys is working on doing a mtx swap

Manual Transmission! Don't boost a cvt - especially the even weaker 2.5 cvt.

75 shot on a 4cyl CVT?? have fun getting them replaced. if u want to do nitrous safely (after tune w/ nitrous) it'll be a 50 shot. CVT is still questionable.

APR could make parts custom made especially the splitters. You can always go in person or send the measurements by mail. But like a company like this, its gonna cost you expensive at 800 dollars for the splitter (I got quoted this about 2 years ago). Reason being is because its tested to actually make improvements on the car (aerodynamics).

What up Broskie!
Nitrous on a 2.5 CVT :ohno: you can try it bro, i wouldnt-but its your car! but just to be on the safe side id try jets = to a 30 shot, depending on what brand you buy of course (jet charts differ) & your fuel pressure.
For mine (3.5 manual) Wet, -4 timing, 1 step colder ngk plugs (DO NOT USE PLATINUM TIPS), window switch (set between 3000rpm/6900rpm), bullydog premium fuel tune (you need 91 octane minimum).
and dyno it to get your AFR's, im running 12:0 kinda rich but it'll do FOR NOW.
my fuel pressure at my elevation is approximately 50psi, yours may be diffrent im not sure.
I may have left a few things out..

hope this helped you out a little, if you need more info look up my thread with the search button above. :dblthumb:

ps, please dont call it NOS!lol

honestly. your probably better off trading in your car for one that has a manual transmission. The parts and labor will probably cost around 5<G's. someone on here probably knows, a few have done this.

Eeeh! Kinda nervous for you, here. I believe Jewelz mentioned 75 is too much for the 2.5 cvt. But hey, the only way to truly know is to experiment right.
Just keep us posted on how it goes bro. Good luck!

I dont spray but i know a hell of a lot about it and maybe one day I will, BUT... To OP, if you care so much about your car your going to kill yourself for what your thinking of doing. I have a STRONG feeling you will have big problems spraying ur car like that, might not be right away but it'll happen not long from when you do this. your CVT will probably be damaged, wont be warrantied. then, if you dont tune the engine by someone that actually knows sh*t about tuning your piston will make a nice hole in your engine block. and even still, a 75 shot is past a safe amount for our 2.5 motor as I mentioned, you will eventually have problems which will also be on you. If your that interested in modding the engine do it right, get a 6spd or a faster car, it opens doors for that. dont want to sound like an a** but I'm trying to warn you, after this it's entirely on you!

Ya thanks wade for the info but on the real my warranty is long gone with the aftermarket parts I put onto the engine. But what I'm gonna run is a dry shot soo if anything does blow it's gonna be my intake manifold. Butte of course I'm course I'm gonna get it dynoed tune soo I'm not runnin lean.. But ya man I wantin to run a 75 shot just cuz nobody attempted and seen everyones just all well trade ur car in or u should've got a 3.5 but has anyone really tested or knows someone that got it done.. Like everyones info soo please feel free leave comments on this!

Yeah I know where your coming from bro. Anytime anyone wants to add performance on a 2.5 everyone is quick to use the " should've gotten a 3.5 or trade it in" comment. Its pretty annoying actually. I wish you the best of luck bro, I hope that the setup works. The sad part is that some people are still gonna hate.

I dont want ppl to misunderstand me if ur hinting at me, which is ok. I am all for making a 2.5 fast, and to me a fast 2.5 is more impressive then a fast 3.5 if their close. for a couple G's a 2.5 can be close to the 3.5 (plz dnt ask cuz im not telling till i do it) and there will be no harm to the cars reliability. Broski Hoski, I give u props for your enthusiasm. It's just that you have one fairly big problem, you car has a CVT which limits you. Which is why i mentioned it would be best to get a 6spd if you want to do something significant, or get the 3.5. Now, about spraying, I will help and educate you a little on it. Wet vs. Dry, everyone i have spoken to that races and knows about nitrous will tell you this, use a wet system, not the dry. A dry nitrous system is a lot harder to control, and as a result you are more likely to damage the engine. I dont know one person who uses a dry system, because it isnt nearly as safe. So, I really recommend you use a wet shot. Now about the amount to spray. I told you a safe amount to spray, and I also told you a 75shot is too much for the 2.5. It has been shown that to avoid affecting reliability of an engine you spray around 25% of it's HP. Meaning a 50 shot is fairly safe. anything above that and your likely to run into problems. look it up, what I'm saying will be pretty consistent with legit sources on the web. Nitrous has come a long way, and if you do it right your good to go. But dont even think of spraying unless you get a custom tune with it by someone competent. the BD tuner doesnt count, get the UP REV software. If you want the best you can get, do what I did, do lots of research!!! plain and simple. So if you want to listen to me or not it's ok, I'm trying to help on this issue, maybe I was a little harsh before.
