Exactly.
I know I make fun of everyone, including myself and people like me with my friends. Some people consider it offensive, I think it is just fun, and it also helps me to avoid racism. I know I grew up in a 90% white community during my high school years. The problems with black people were completely nonexistent, not because of the lack of them, but because the few that were there were treated no differently. My band teacher (I had 2 classes a day with him for 4 years) was my favorite teacher, and he used to hang out with all of the other kids in band (who were all white or asian). In fact, he would join in our usual bashings, complaining about the lack of 'brothas' in the band. Of course, the one that did join wanted to do color guard (everyone thought he was gay, so he quit) :pface . I still talk to him today as a matter of fact.
Racism still exists in some places and with some closed-minded people unfortunately, but from the looks of it, at least people on this board seem to be very good about not being racist. Makes me feel like the world might actually be progressing somewhere.
