My point is not to nitpick the discussion. MY point is that once someone posts inaccurate information, it's an iresponsible act that does damage, and the OP needs to be called to task for it.

The fact that he was found not at fault for the plane crashes is about the same as being repremanded after the Keating Five scandal as having used poor judgement.

So bottom line is John McCain has a history of poor judgement and he was not found to have been the cause of five plane crashes.

His last statement was not inaccurate in that he said McCain did not cause 5 plane crashes. He only lost 4 so he couldn't have crashed 5.

Presented as he did does actually strike me as the reporter who asks, "How long ago did you stop beating your wife?" It implies that he still lost 5 planes instead of 4.
