yeah, i am looking into the 3.5. I totally get where your coming from, and thats the only issue with the hyundai, reliability. But then again this is supposed to be when hyundai "turn the corner"CanadianCoupe wrote:I am assuming you would buy a 3.5 if your comparing it to a Genesis. Personally I would buy the coupe because it looks nicer and from experience Nissan makes a much better product than Hyundai. I know this is Hyundai's high end car, but I think they seem cheap.
if your into a hyundai, haha. seems like other cars dont get muh love here,eh. to be fair, the Genesis has alot of tuning support already in Korea. After only 2 weeks of being released...but you are right the AC does have alot aftermarket love...08altima35 wrote:if you're into aftermarket, buy the altima coupe. Very new car with a sh*tload of available mods. If you're into Hyundai's then get the Hyundai, but don't ask people here for much support. Autos = Japanese > Korean

yooo,

Some SEMA appearances...http://www.autoblog.com/2008/0...coupeLongBeachCoupe wrote:There is NO aftermarket support for hyundai...
Now your absolutly right, nissan is much more reliable, and as i say again it has an excellent reputation. im assuming everyone who replied to this thread knows the specs of the genesis, if so the turbo does seem promising. I know you all love your AC's and i do have interest in it as well, im just trying to get some different views...08altima35 wrote:not saying it's crap, but it's no nissan. Nissan builds quality from their supercars to their minivans and have proven reliability time and time again. purchase whatever you prefer after test driving both vehicles, but again...the opinion on this forum will say nissan all the way because we own and love our rides and the aftermarket (that we're all a sucker for) is thriving for this car. soon will be internals, performance clutches, coil overs, etc. is there really any question in which one is the winner. if stock is your thing then it really doesn't matter except which suits you better.
buy the the top specked genesis coupe, in the crazy yellow paint sheme or ferrari light blue one, just because it's soo neweurocoupe wrote:hey, well ive been roaming these forums since like last year, but just now decided to register since im looking to make a new car purchase now. Well ive had alot of cars in mind, but since have narrowed my choices down to 2. Its either the 2010 hyundai Genesis coupe (which goes on sale, in the states Spring 09') or the Altima coupe. My question for you all is quite simple, which do you think is the better buy? no bias-ness:P lol

hahahaha yeah, the more i see it now, im not liking the look of itSHIFT_COUPE wrote: A little of this will make that car look better.....
and the fact thats its comming out WORLDWIDE. MUCH more aftermarket for it. MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE than the A/C will ever have.SaiDori wrote:I think the only thing going for the Genesis Coupe is that it's RWD.
With HKS, RMR and Street Concepts modding the Genesis Coupe for SEMA well before the release of the actual car to the public, I would say that it already has a good foundation of aftermarket support.LongBeachCoupe wrote:

Who Cares? Eibach? Stillen? Anyone?
The AC has been MASSIVE for Nissan.. and the altima has always been something thats had aftermarket support... by the time people come around to that genesis... you may own another car?
lol AC FTW!
yep I knew about that too. sorry to burst your bubble LBC, but the genesis coupe has more going for it way sooner that the A/C, if it gets good reception it's going to be the new 240sx. it's got the rwd, plus the small I4 turboed and the big 300hp v6. best of all it's going to be cheap and devaluate super fast since its a hyundai, and coupes always lose the most value.SaiDori wrote:

I see this car being used in D1 Grand Prix and Formula Drift.
Even Nissan is trying to bring back an FR Coupe to compete with the Genesis Coupe.
