I have everything I need for my KA-T setup except for a cold pipe and fittings for this oil line I just got from a friend today. It's a Russell oil line and when I look at the end fitting, the hole looks no bigger than the protruding tip of a pen.. to me it seems too small... I don't see the size on the line anywhere.. I'm guessing this cone shaped inside is more like a pressure reducer? My camera phone can't take a good close up picture but I described it best as the diameter of a plastic bic pen tip (where the actual ink plastic cartrige sticks out from the plastic tube. I guess it will work. Could anyone tell me the size fitting that I need to tap into the oil pressure sensor ? Here's a crappy pic...

oil pressure sender fitting is a 1/8 bspt, you will probably need an adaptor from bspt to npt, all of this could have been found by searching and would have probably taken less time then writing your thread. just a heads up the info is out there!

eh, I searched, guess I didn't use the right words. I actually need to know what size that line is... the one that is in the picture... my friend had no idea what it was.

The line is big enough, it looks like a -3 or -4. I believe there is a link up in the sticky with all the info you need.

Go to some kind of speed shop they usually help me out when I have questions, just take the lines and tell them what your trying to do. Lol I even bring my turbo.

Ok, cool... there is a speed shop but every time I have been to it the customer service sucks ... it's a big Domestic Speed Shop for mustangs and all that... I don't really like them out there, I just wanted to make sure I had the right size line here and I guess i'll just have to order the fittings if I can't loosen them up from the stock SR steel line. I need a vise. Thanks guys :-)

you mean tn speed sport? they are good for last minute parts when next day shipping is too much. but your right, if it's not in the books in front of them then they probably don't know.

also the cone inside is part of the flare whch is how the connector seals itself. look at russells or aeroquip's site and they may even tell you how to measure it with some inside calipers.

Hey Eddie, I inspected my SR20 oil feed line and the hole where the cone shape is about twice the size of the one i just posted a pic of... I was told about a place called Auto Turbo in Nashville that could hook me up with everything I need as far as oil lines and maybe a cold pipe (I have nowhere I know of that could make me a cold pipe for my IC.. ) Do you know of that place?

what oil lines exactly do you not have? you need a feed from the filter/pressure sender to the turbo. and you need a return from the turbo to your pan/block. the one in the pic looks like a feed line due to its small size. one end will be small to connect to the turbo, but the other end can be bigger - doesn't matter. just need an adaptor between the source and the line.

auto turbo, sounds like the place on charlotte that may have closed. last time i drove by it looked empty. i'll look tomorrow and see if they are still there. i never visited the store, but the signage indicated they did rebuilds and sourced oem replacement stuff.

are you using alum or ss for your ic pipes?? i dont know directly, however the welding teacher across the hall might do it depending on what it is. if not he may know someone to do it.

you can give me a shout if you want an extra set of eyes to look at it. be happy to help.

hey, yep that one in the pic is the feed line that I got from a friend... I just think the hole might be too small (when you look at the inside cone where it comes to a point) I don't have a return line yet, but the one that was on my SR was just a big plastic tube... I called the Turbo Auto Place... http://www.turboauto.biz/ they have a lot of stuff. I told him i'd come down there and have him take a look at my turbo and oil lines... he says he might have the fittings i need. I guess I'm going to use aluminum... the guy at turboauto says he has some aluminum and steel piping..i think... I know once I get this together i'm going to need help with vaccum lines... I hope i can find enough info on here... I know if I hook up my BC wrong, i'll overboost. I have HKS BC's.. an old school one with low med high manual and a volume knob....and then a newer type one with a big dial.
