haha i would love to, since i havent been able to put all the theory into practice as of yet. But seeing that you're in texas, and im in california...

and if i remember correctly, the W7 JLs are rated at 1000 watts, right?

SPECS!!!!

too bad you dont have a hatch, (at least when it comes to audio) it makes subs sound amazing.
It's a W6, not a W7.

And for reference, any "good" amplifier is advertised at RMS power. And no, Pioneer, Sony, Jensen, Boss etc. are usually not good amps.

Actually, I did a install for a friend of mine 5 years ago with the same exact equipment.... it rocked for a single sub.

I thought thats what the diodes are for in the alternator. To convert AC to DC. Unless the diodes are faulty, you shouldn't get any AC right?

That's a really nice setup! What's the specs on the enclosure volume (looks a little big for a w6)?

Caps are useless on JL slash series amps unless your having dimming issues and even then your usually looking at wiring that's not the right size for the amp.

JL Audio 500/1 is good for 600W RMS from 10.5-14.4V. Plenty of high quality power for the W6v2. Should've made a ported box though. Man the W6v2's POUND when ported.<-- JL Dealer since 92.

Looking good, is that one of the AVIC units? I've wanted one way back since the N1 came out.
