I like this....lots

I have bent my Advan SA3R's so many times its laughable. I bent one so bad at Gratten in Michigan at a track day, that I had to stop the track day. My wheel looked like a piece of pie was missing. I hate that s***. The Schmidts, youd have to worry about messing up the track

not my problem at that point

None, if you never drive your car.

If you'd ever driven anything besides that 80's Buick station wagon, you'd know that it's not hard to damage an alloy wheel.

Seriously, you need to think things through.
I understand what you're saying.

So these are for the people that like to put rubber band style tires on their wheels?

I don't imagine these would be able to withstand to much curb rubbing though.

how do you figure? you just saw them spin them without tires until the lips glowed. why wouldn't they be able to withstand loads of curbing?

The spinning action creates a continuous force all the way around the rim's lip.

When you rub a curb it's usually on one spot and at an odd angle.

These should suffer less, but I still think they'll get major scuffs

All hype aside, Schmidt makes some of the most baller, dope, ill wheels I have ever come across. Thank you for introducing me!!

Hand polished Schmidt TH-Line 2pc in 17x8, 17x9.5 here I come!!

Gosh drat are they expensive though. I could get two nice sets of Volks for the price of one set of Schmidt wheels. Hell, I could probably get the Volks with tires. At least for $600/wheel they come in any offset you want.

At 1:17 there is what appears to be a dent in the rim.

The video is to low of a quality to see the actual damage

You mean the hole for the tire valve? Are all the dents and scuffs the reason the balancing machine said the wheel is good?

Please, stop talking. You make yourself look more retarded with every post you make.

Wow... You actually think that every single blemish is going to cause the balancing machine to detect it? No.

you really think running into a curb like that wont damage a normal wheel enough for the balancing machine to detect it?

Shut up.

I havent been able to find pricing on on the sizes/offsets I require for either car right now. But I have my guy on the Eastcoast getting setup as a dealer for them. He'll have a better idea for me at the end of the business day.

I need some funky fittaments...imagine that

Do you know anything about high-end balancing machines?

Then zip it.
PoorManQ45 wrote:Cool. What does a set like that go for?
More than you're likely to make anytime soon.

And they don't fit Buick station wagons.

I know that depending on the type of scrape you can either remove material or compress it. If it was compressed the balance would not be affected.

Agreed. They're probably over $1k each.

I say, why not just learn how to drive?

Boston

The ones for the Gloria he imagined are gonna run about 1000 each for the rear and about 750 each for the fronts.

Anyone wanna buy a set of gnarley offset staggered Locksmice Dukes?

they are super rare, I actually havent seen another set in real life. But I do know that a NICO memeber had a set for sale not to long ago. (Vutony)

they are baller...theyd look good on a Q or Y34 or something similar.

Just sayin'

they will come with tires from the land of the rising sun that arent available here. Bridgestone Playz all around, in very good shape

Nope.

"Displace", not compress.

When a wheel is dented, the material doesn't magically fill some unseen void, it is displaced, affecting alignment and balance.

This would be fun if you actually retained any of it.
