No matter what 6.5 speakers you choose you will have to get adapters for new speakers. The reason is Rogue's speakers attached to plastic adapters so it goes as 1 pc. Also as for cutting the wires if you planning to sell the car later on with those speakers then I don't see a problem with that. The sockets that goes originally with speakers will not fit any aftermarket so you will have to either cut them or use clips to split the wires: http://www.hamcq.com/images/uploads/xqu ... Are they "universal" sockets or do I have to cut and attach the cable?
When you change your speakers, do you choose just a random 6.5" speaker or are there any special speakers with multiple holes on the edge, so that you can fit to the existing screw holes. As far as I see, there is a plastic holder. Will any 6.5" speaker can fit to that plastic bracket.

when I remove the original speaker, I can't basically install the new 6.5" speaker. First I need an adapter like this:

I will cut the original wires and install the connector cables that come with the speakers...
Passenger side ---> GRAY (+) YELLOW (-)
Driver side -------> BLUE (+) RED (-)
I found one pair of speakers at $34.99. I am not planning to have a superior sound system in my car. So 160 Watts is more than enough...compared to the stupid original speaker I have right now...

The total will be:
$ 65 ($ 30 for the adapter and $ 35 for the pair of speakers)
What do you think?
UPDATE: Maybe this speaker doesn't need an adapter? It has "Flexible mounting options provided with multiple fitment frame"
