It's leaking at this hose, it doesnt have a clamp on it and i'm thinking that while trying to put the hose clamp back over it, it punctured the hose.

How can I get to this easier? Whats involved if I have to replace the whole hose?...

what would you do to fix it??

thanks

Pull the manifold.

Its a PITA to pull, but your hoses are 14 years old not. That one went, and you can bet others will follow.

Pull the manifold and replace every piece of rubber under there. It will be an all day project, but it will give you a piece of mind.

If by invest you mean, a little time downloading, then you should have done that long ago.

NicoClub Factory Service Manual repository

Hint, they run a lot faster if you save them to your HD.

Good luck.

thanks man.

worked on it a little tonight. bought new clamps. cleaned up the hose a little bit. put new clamp on. and it has been leak free since.

my only problem is that my temp gauge randomly shoots up to H then back down if i use the heat. I tried parking on a hill and opening the radiator cap. Some air bubbles came out and it didn't run on H again. Then i went over a big bump and it started again. I think i have air in the system

Sounds like an air pocket to me.

Have you tried opening the air bleed screw?

In the process of changing that same hose and have already pulled the intake...What a pain!!!I had originally bought the hose and replaced it without removing the intake but it stilll leaked....the "L" shaped piece had rusted out and the hose wouldn't cover all of it. Dealer says you can't get the "l" shaped piece anymore so having the manifold threaded and using pipe fitings on it...Sucker won't rust again!!!I'm changing ALL hoses too..Taking off the manifold is too much of a pain to do again soon....
