Help! Turbo doesn't build boost until 6k!

It's a gt35r and any garrett turbo with an r at the end means it's a ball bearing turbo. The turbine is a 84 trim .63 a/r.

Wow, 84 trim? Isn't that kinda 'high'..? I thought 57 was 'ideal' for the KA..? But then again, that's for the T3/T04E.. I have no idea about the GT series stuff. Just asking.

this thread needs to keep growing, im planning on getting the peakboost manifold as soon as possible.

reading this thread had me absorbing good setup information



EDIT: also wondering, are there clearance issues with the PB manifold, any pictures from a level angle?

At what power level would be best to switch to a top mount peek boost mani. ? I dont want a mani. unless its a PB top mount!

You've got an SR, why are you here? Anyways there is no real power level in which you NEED to switch to a Peakboost manifold. It'll flow better for sure, but there really isn't any other reason why, other than it is the sex!

This thread is giving me panty gravy. I just got a 35R from a buddy with an RX-7, It's 1.06 exhaust housing right now but I'm doing the Tial .63 stainless housing. Also, I'm going with a custom manifold from Glenn at vision, he makes some crazy nice stuff. $550 for the mani.
