92 240sx DOHC 5 speed

I got the transmission off because I am changing the clutch and I wanted to change the rear main seal while I am in there. I un bolted the rear main seal plate including the 2 bolts thru the oil pan, but the sealant is holding it in place and I can't find a way to pry on it.

Is there any trick to getting this thing off? My KA24E hardbody had little notches on the plate so I could pry it off, the 240 doesn't have anything to pry on...

I'm confused. Never had to remove anything to pull that crank seal. We talking about a different seal? A seal puller would work.

Thanks for the link vancouverbc. Used a thin putty knife to slowly break the seal between the block and seal holder.
