$900 below invoice??? Holly Invoice Batman! My deal is $800 over invoice on a G35XS with all the goodies and I am about to pull the trigger. Too bad you are on the West coast (I am in Ohio). I had to work to get to +800. What kind of deals did anybody else get? I still have until the end of the month to get a low finance rate but I really think I have milked this one as far as I can.

yes I got a great deal on my 2008 G 35 X Sport with Premium Package and Spoiler. $35,014+tax. I think I stole it. Sticker was $39K with spoiler. However, I got killed on my trade in.2002 Passat W8 MINT with 24,000 miles I only got $8K for. As mentioned, I wanted the 335XI. Even the 328XI with the same options would be over $40K. Drove the Lexus IS as well with AWD. What a dog. And ugly styling in my opinion. My wifes Forester XT would blow the doors off the 328XI and IS 250.My wife cant have a quicker car than me?The Sport Package on the G35X makes it stand out from other models due to the 18s and front air dam. Please let me know what mods you do and how successful you are. The Stillen Long tube intake, CAT back exhaust, and plennum are probably what I would do but will not due to possible warranty issues. Also how about the 72 month powertrain warranty? Also remember- there is no replacement for displacement!

The car I am about to pull the trigger on is an '08 G35SX with Premium pack,Nav,& Sport with body colored side moldings (hate door dings) and clear bra (80 miles of highway to work and back). MSRP $40,700 something. Clear bra and moldings add $900. Graphite paint with black interior, paddle shifters. Very cool car. I came from a '98 high mileage 5-speed Audi 2.8 Quatro. Great car but 10 years old now and time for a change. Got $4800 on a trade in and the car for $800 over invoice. final sticker is $39005. All said and done the car comes to $42010 out the door tax and title. Sales tax is 7.75 % out here so that puts a big chunk back into the cost. You did get a great deal.

Hey guys, 1st post here. Great Site!Just turned in my 04 35x lease And financed...08 35x premium,wood,trunknet,splashguards,2.9%63mnths,$34000+tax&etc Love ItPrior to the 04g I had an 02wrx, so much fun, however I had problems with 1st gear. Got to the point where I couldnt shift into 1st rolling or still. Subaru told me I was thrashing the car, drag racing etc, which i was not, just spiritted driving. Then I divulged that I downshift into 1st while not at a complete stop which they told me should not be done and that this was what was destroying the trans WTF? By the way, the owners manual stated no such thing, just a chart aproximating mph range and apropriate gear. Long story short...The car was a joy while the transmission was good, all I wanted was it fixed, Subaru of America Sucks, their customer service sucks, after numerous repair attempts, acusations of abuse to car with no proof and loads of BS I got a lawyer, sued Sub o' America, got a check and went to Infiniti. Got 04gx, no BS ,Great car, Great service, and then an 08gx wuhoo!

Jerry, you should be stoked with the g35x in the mountains. I had an 05 X and it served as my Tahoe rig for 2-years. I put a set of decent high-performance all-season tires and it would get past chain control every time. Great car actually, really controllable in the snow. The fact that it was an automatic combined with me rarely taking that car to Tahoe towards the end allowed me to trade it in for a lightly used 6-speed coupe.

Now, I've driven the latest version- If my 05 x car had 306hp, paddle shifters and that killer interior, I would have never sold it. The newer motor is solid. Additionally, the car looks better than my old car. I'd most likely take it over my coupe if I had the choice today. If they made a 6-speed, I'd be down there today.

Compared to an STI? Two totally different vehicles. The handling is significantly tighter in an STI, the STI has a better power/wt ratio. The G35xs will be a 100% improvement in terms of what you use it for. You'll lose a few hp going up over the pass compared to the STI. Will you really miss it? The G is still decently quick and handles fair as well.(enough to have fun)

Mods: Not sure if they have suspension or not. That was hard to come by when I owned my 05-Springs are no problem, it's the shocks that are tough to come by. Exhaust can be done, CAI(s)-Mileage? Hard to say- Bad going up the pass (I'm sure the STI was no miser there either) 25 coming down- Best of luck. Enjoy

jerry c wrote: Hello All, I just ordered a G35XS, and I am not sure I have made the right move. I live in the Sierra foothills at 4000' elevation, and my work takes me into the Lake Tahoe area, quite a bit. There is no way around it " I have to have the X version" This car will be a combination work, dailey driver, and an occasional jaunt to Thunderhill for for a HSDE. I put a lot of miles on my car (200+ mi per day) but demand a fun and fast veh. My last 10 cars have been Subaru's, and I have had phenomenal good service from all of them. My last 3 cars were an 02 WRX, an 04 STI, and an 05 STI. All of my WRX's were modded moderately and were great fun to drive. I just want a change !!, and I was Very impressed with the G35S. but I have'nt driven the XS. (they, the dealer, dont have one). I Would love to hear from anyone who has an XS, or has heard pro's or con's on that model. Anyone know, if intake and exhaust mods, are avail for the XS. I know that there is plenty avail. for the G35, But what about the X ? Thanks, Jerry C P.S.. Is gas milage going to kill me on this car, 200+mi. a day. I promise I will drive it sanely.

Probably better interior and more power.

nobody in their right mind would rather have an old honda than a G35 which is 10 years newer

leads me to the conclusion that he needs to get checked out at the hospital
