Today I accidentally ran into something in my 2011 Nissan Rogue and I'm a college student on a low budget, I was wondering if someone could help me estimate how much this would cost to fix or if there's a diy way which would be the best option if it's possible

The passenger side of my car, by the light but not on the light I think the frame is showing a little bit
I don't know how to upload a picture but I am willing to if someone told me how
Thank you in advancd!

Welcome to NICO! I've revised your thread title. USE THE CORRECT TITLE: That means, make sure your title has the topic at hand. Don't title something: "I have a question" or "Small concern" or "Rogue issues". Instead title it: "Tire tpms question" or "Rear bumper paint issue".

I'm not sure I understand the nature of the problem with your car. Once you've uploaded some pictures it might make more sense.

That sucks EC93. The bottom part of the bumper is just plastic and should just snap back onto the car. The dent next to the light is metal and will need to be pounded back into shape. Then it will need to be repainted so the car doesn't rust.
I'm not an expert, but I would guess $1500 in repairs.
You could use your insurance and pay what is most likely a $500 deductible. Your insurance rate will go up so that they recoup that money.
Get at least 3 estimates from good body shops.
You may not want to tell your parents, but it is probably your best course of action. They may be mad at first, but at least they can help you get it done correctly.

thats not the frame. not even close. thats a plastic "thing" that gets screwed onto the fender, and the bumper cover gets pressed and screwed into it.
your damage is very minimal, but unfortunately somewhat costly, only because the fender will need to be replaced(thus also painted).

you can always bend the damaged bumper outwards, and reattach the bumper to it.

I actually have extra paint from something a few years ago. Is there any way I can fix it without having to pay a lot?

I'll definitely try to bend it! If there's any thing else you know of to help fix it I would appreciate it! Thank you!

The problem isn't telling my parents, I leave on my own and go to college but I'm not under my parents insurance I'm under my grandparents. I just can't tell them right now, I'm just really trying to find a way to make it look less bad and I have leftover paint that I can use. So I just need to try to bump it back into place?

A little bailing wire and duct tape and it'll be fine.

Like I said the problem isn't telling my parents. They don't even live in the same city as me. I live on my own and my car is not theirs. The problem is I don't have the money to fix this, which is why I was wondering if there was any way to fix it without spending a ridiculously amount of money.

Low budget fixes:
Bumper - If it is popped out then put it back into place. Using the Service Manual (links at top of forum) you will find how to remove the section that has popped off. Popping it back on will make the appearance (minus the scratches/scrapes) look as it should. Bumpers are often clipped on in most places, and bolted on in a few, so in a minor impact the clipped portions pop out of place while the bolted portions remain in place.
Fender - If you are looking for an absolutely budget fix why not talk to a paintless dent removal person? While PDR does not do miracles, and by the name will not do any paint work, they may be able to get the fender straight again. At this point you can decide whether to paint it. You could attempt to straighten it yourself, but you may end up making it look worse (some people try and leave 38 hammer dents in the place of one big dent).

With a little elbow grease you should be able to get it looking straight again, at which point you can take it in for an estimate to paint before deciding what to do.

If you don't have the money to fix it, just take the inner fender liner off, that's the plastic thingy that goes around the inside of the wheel well to keep crud out of the engine compartment. Once that's off you should have access to the area behind the damage. You may be able to push/pound it out with your hands, so that it is less noticable. Then reattach the inner liner, reattach the bumper and call it a day.

If you don't want to turn it in on your insurance and you don't have the money to fix it ,that's probably your best option.
