help help need help on how to take inner tie rod out? i cant seem to get the inner tie rod out it wont loosen any one have advise on how to take inner tie rod out? or pics on how to take it off,,,,,

Been a while but I remember after removing that lock washer, I took it out with a big wrench.

take it completly off case i bent the corners off and its impasable to take off

I used some vice grips and a jack handle. It will come off, you just need some force behind you.

You try any penetrating spray like PB blaster or some of that royal purple spray stuff? Threads might need some motivation to break free

he first link you posted shows the best procedure. the other two are just pick of the area.

about that lock washer... you can use a flathead screwdriver and pry up all 4 sides then use the wrench to get the inner tie rod out. before you disassemble your car, go to the hardware store and pick up some of the washers.

if using a beefier tierod, (like tein) then the lock washers are too small to work. in this case i spot welded mine on.

i have run tierods with out the lock washer and with out spot welding. i strongly suggest not.

changing tierods are not as hard as it seems, just make sure you go for an alignment

used a monkey wrench and it finnaly came off thanks alot,,, i cant drive my car till monday ,, on monday i will get it allined,,
