That may be the case and I will certainly give it a try if I can find a road where I can do that!EniGmA1987 wrote:TPMS has a learning mode? I thought they always just re-assigned after driving over 30mph for over 30 minutes.
It sounds like you just changed one. In that case I think the car, recognizing the 3 unchanged ones, will know to connect the new one in the right place.steelcity wrote:I actually JUST changed my TPMS 2 days ago. I bought an aftermarket from Advanced Auto Parts (about $57 w/tax). It installs right out the box. When I left the light was still on, but about a half hour later. it went off and everything was and still is reading just fine. It didn't need any type of programming.
Thanks for the link. I basically have all that but have not located the notorious connector. I will look harder, though.svard75 wrote:Try this http://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-tire ... ost6799427
EXCELLENT. Thank you! This forum rocks!!!jiggersplat wrote:
The connector is right where it's supposed to be on my 08. Taped to the harness just behind the OBD-II connector. It's the one with the single white/red wire coming out of it I believe.
This is in another thread.... "I found mine 4 inches up and to the left inside the fuse box near your left knee.It is very short versus other vehicles I looked at. After you locate the white 2 pin connecter youll see it only has 1 wire in it." reset-tpms-yourself-t556986.html
I haven't had a chance to try and program yet.
Yes, I only changed one. The tire shops that I brought my car to didn't want to touch it because they didn't have the tool. They also did not trust the aftermarket part. But for $20, I told them to give it a try because that light was annoying me. I left with the light on and half hour later...it was gone (what a relief)veery wrote:It sounds like you just changed one. Having changed all 4, the car has no way of knowing which sensor is at which wheel. That's why putting it in learning mode, with select, different, pressures in specifically recommended locations, is supposed to work: LF = 34, RF =31, RR = 29, LR - 26.
I now have the warning light on the dash, which I think means that the car knows the old sensors are gone and not which new one is where.
I look forward to whatever you find out, jiggersplat.
