Yea it was recently serviced papers say EGR valves were don't at 130k miles along with timing belt. Currently at 160k still running strong. Hahaha for sure they're real sticklers about all that emissions crap here. It's a same I can't just delete all that. :-(

You can delete all the small coolant lines under the plenum while you have it off though. I would also replace both heater hoses with new ones, don't want to have to go back in the for a long time. All new vacuum lines would be a good idea too, just bought 15-20 feet of silicone vacuum line off of ebay and take each hose of one at a time and replace it with the same length silicone. Just my 2 cents

Thanks, I'll definitely do that as well. I replaced all the coolant lines. Wasn't sure about the coolant bypass so I didn't do it. I'll do it next time it had to come off. But for now I don't want to drill out or cut off anything I'm not too sure of. If someone could come help me do it that had done it before I would. But for now this is fine. Thanks for the tips tho, I will definitely be replacing all the vacuum hoses as well.

Power balance test is best place to start, pull the coil pack connector for each cylinder, one at a time while the car is running. If the engine sound changes, you're good. If nothing changes, that's your dead cylinder. Then you need to check for spark, check your injector clicking, check the ohms on the injector etc. Another common problem is the PTU subharness. If it changes the idle or engine dies when you move it, it can be a problem.

However, I've been running on as few as 3 cylinders before (as I was moving my car to replace the old style injectors), and I've never seen the CEL for that.

Finally, you should pull your ECU codes, I'll let you search on how to do that.

Make a new thread once you've done that so we can keep issues separate, and also hopefully get more people to look at your thread.
