This repair is covered under your Elite Extended Warranty and all diagnostic and repair costs will be covered by your local Infiniti Dealership's Service Department. When making an appointment please reference TSB# ITB08-041a as it will allow the Service Department to recognize your issue immediately and reduce the amount of time you'll wait in the lounge. Also, be sure to have your gas tank ¼ or less full when bringing your M into service, or they'll have to remove the fuel by sucking it out of the tank (again, increasing your wait time).

Good luck, and please us know how it all turns out!
Thanks!

I like how they call it a "cut bracket." No wonder my SA thought they cut someing out when this TSB was performed on my vehicle. I still have trouble filling, but not nearly as much trouble as I did before the procedure was performed.

I have this problem from time to time as well (2008 M35x). Thanks for the info on the TSB. I will ask the dealer to address it next time I take it in.

I'm not certain on this, so maybe someone else can confurm, but I wouldn't mention the "from time to time" part to the dealer, as they may then be able to say it's a certain gas station's fault instead of the car's fault. Also, if you send it in with very little gas and have a good dealership, they may fix it that visit if they don't have to try to replicate it, but if you send it in with too much gas (the TSB above says more than an 8th tank, and the dealership I go to said more than a quarter tank), they can't fix it without risk of a nice gas smell in your trunk for some time to come.

I just got my Rogue from my Dad who put little mileage on it in 3 years but didnt have a problem with this. First gas station...I set the pump to fill it up....the pump overflows, and spills out on side of car before I can stop it - never had this happen before on any car. then it wont take gas except in small 1/10 gallon increments. I try another pump. same thing. Then I try another station next day, and another station day after that after going thru most of a tank of gas. - same thing...it takes forever to fill the tank becaue It shuts off a zillion times. This seems a little different than others have reported. The gas gauge seems to be accurate - it does show when it is full.

Help! What should I do???

thanks in advance.

tried that. still happens. I can get it to go for almost 1 gallon if I barely squeeze the trigger. but it cuts off at least 20+ times per fill up.

My 2006 M35x has recently over the past few months had an issue of filling up all the way I ignored it because the needle was on full but I know it wasn't filled all the way. But these past 3 times I have filled up, it clicks and stops half way and I have to start it again and it fills up to only so much. I dont know what the problem is, is this a recall or an easy fix?

This problem has plagued a few members, not too uncommon:

I know Ilya will probably comment: "Search" although somewhat painful at times to use, can help when looking up specific problems/issues.

good luck with resolving the prob.

^^ hahah.

Yes, this is an ITB and dealer can fix it. I had it done on my 07 M35x.

I dont have a warranty, so if I take it to the Infiniti dealer would they fix it for free or a Nissan dealer which I would prefer because its closer could they do it? Are their any parts I need to order?

Not sure if Nissan can do it. They might be able to but I'm not sure 100%. As for if they would cover it...best bet is to call.
