So I finally have a shop near me that I trust and I want to start putting bigger things on the vert. For right now, I'm looking at J30 diff, Q45 front brakes and BRM exhaust. I'll probably end up starting on whichever is easiest to find right now, but I'd love to throw in an exhaust to start off.

I'm pretty set on a SS dual tip BRM catback with 22" resonator. Love the sound, love the look, price isn't exorbitant. I'm not sure whether I would need the high flow cat though. I'm not doing forced induction in the foreseeable future. I also want to get some decent headers put on at the same time, but for that I have no idea where to look. Anyone who has done exhaust got any advice for me? I want something with a nice deep tone, but not something too loud and obnoxious. And more powar doesn't hurt either

If you don't plan on upgrading too quickly after this upgrade, I'd say look for hotshot headers, some sponsors should have them. Maybe DC, Pacesetter, Megan, or OBX as well.

If you are going the header and catback, I would get the hi-flow cat as well. Otherwise you restrict the flow at the cat. Would definately recommend the 3" Catco hi-flow, they make a bolt-in one, should be around $100.

I went with a 3in cat-back from ebay and it's good quality and sounds nice. I was told that 3in on an NA motor would be loud, but it's not at all. The 2-1/2 Megan cat-back I had on my coupe was louder. Most cat-backs will come with a silencer as well; for those days you don't wanna hear it.

Well I've read that the BRM isn't too obnoxiously loud, especially with duel tip muffler. I think 3" is far more than an NA motor needs. Honestly I'm wondering what the difference is between the 2.25" and 2.5".

I just can't justify paying that much for bent pipe. It's all the same. mandrel bent, fully polished stainless steel.

It's cool if you wanna support NICO though.

Here's my take:

I love the BRM but be aware of the volume increase.

I have to admit that is also part of it.

3" on NA has been proven to increase power, no decrease in torque. If you plan on doing FI eventually, then go 3".

I have the apexi knock off duals on mine with a 3" main runner and 2 1/2" split after the y and its great on Hp, but my torque lags a little bit, not much, but noticeable. I love it, but its a little loud sometimes when your on the freeway and it just drums in your head constantly.
