Hi, I'm new. :)

This will be my customary geeky newb thread.

My name's Laurel, I used to drive a crx, sold it, and I've been driving a beater for a little over a year now. Wanted more than anything to get another CRX, recently I've taken a shining to the 240SX, and while watching drifting videos at a friend's house, decided that I should look into a 240 more. I'll be out of the house in a few months, and want a slightly more adult car than the tiny CRX(over 2 feet longer). I'm thinking s15. :) Any suggestions?

Welcome to NICO! I for one dunno much about the S15, but I have an S13 and it's by far the most fun to drive of any car I have driven. I can imagine that the S14 would be the same way too. You can't go wrong with either of those.

What part of Washington are you from? I'm up in Mount Vernon.

the S15 will be pricey once you import it from Japan and legalize it and all the other poo or talk to our head supervisor Dauntless. he can import one. be ready to spend soem cash. I f you are interested in drifting, go wit the S13 (180sx model) from what i heard and seen on vids, they are probably the best drifting car. The S13 coupe and fastback are both fun to drive, with some experince, owning both cars, teh fastback (180sx) is a much funner car to drive.

Yeaaah, girl racers rock! Hey, I just wanted to ask what did you have done to the CRX if anything? You'll definately be happy with a 240. I came from the Honda camp myself with a '91 integra with a b16a. I don't miss it a bit now that I have my fastback. If you don't feel like importing the S15, I'd like to recommend an s13 hatch. they look real nice with the s15 headlights if you wanna comprimise. good luck tho.

Hrmmm... I screwed up, I meant s14. :x

From Olympia, though I spend most of my time in Bothell/Lynnwood(east of seattle)

CRX was dumped on Tokico Blue and skunk2 springs, various other suspension components, si wheels, customary knockoff bodykit(cyber originated it, made popular by wings west) and a few bolt-ons. I planned for a b16 or a b18 swap, but wasnt working at the time, so didnt have money to mod it any farther.

I'm a whore for body styling (autobody classes start in december, for now its steering/suspension) and I must say, the s14 has the most amazing lines. That's what really got me about this car, and RWD, oh my!

j/k, welcome to the boards and best of luck in your 240 search! I have been searching for 4 months and still have not got my car yet:( Then again I lack the extra money and ability to go places to check out a car that generally speeds this process along...

Ummmmm... Lets see. Just going on what I've been told by 2 relatively reliable sources, and, of course, links. :) Its $25 to run. "Sunday, May 25th at the Bremerton shipyard NWR-SCCA"

I'll try and track down some more info. :)

Wednesday is also an open day at SIR/PR, $10 to watch, and $25 to race. I'll be there with a gang of honda people(mostly not riceboys, but every group gets their bad apples. )
