regardless, watching Arlen Spectre's press conference earlier he's already vocalizing his opposition to the dems. Personally, I'm disgusted by this bit of vote grabbing. Spectre knew he would be defeated in the primary, since for some odd reason Republicans seem to think their party needs to move further to the right. So rather than face defeat in the primary, he switches to the democratic party with a sweetheart of a deal. My only hope is that the progressives of my party go ahead and primary Spectre, despite what the DNCC has said on the matter.

People have short memories.

Last time we gave this much power to one of the major parties, guess what happened? Not much good, that's what.
