Since nobody has posted pictures of their set-up at night, for the future this might help people shopping for the Hella H4 conversion.

I couldn't figure out how to take the bomb pictures where my lens didn't flare up, but you can get the general idea.

I bought these off of rallylights.com, the 200mm base option is $93 + shipping. You can select higher-ouput bulbs to be included, too, although in retrospect, I would have preferred no bulbs be included and picked up some some PIAA or Sylvania SilverStar bulbs. That said, the Hella bulbs it came with are a really clear white. I got the standard 60/55w, which is OEM from what I read.

There are two options, one is the DOT version, or the E-Code, which I bought, and is supposed to have better light output than the DOT version. Also an option for having City Lights installed, which I didn't get. My version is not DOT approved. I don't have to go through emissions checks so it wasn't an issue for me, but I am not sure for all you Cali owners what the requirements are. They have a pretty good explanation of the E-Code vs. DOT housings on their site, although its tricky to find right away. Just Google:

rallylights.com 200mm

I will update this post with some better shots facing a wall later on.

These are two head on shots, the old Sylvania Halogen (stock sealed beam) is on the drivers side, aka on the right in the picture. The H4 is on the left/passenger side.

This 3rd picture is the light output of the old Sylvania Halogen facing away from the car, with the H4 beam covered up with paper.

just had to comment on these things:

i just installed them this evening and MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE.

internet screaming and all. the visibility has improved in every way imaginable. i can see farther, wider, and less yellow tint. They are well worth the price, and considering the cost of most parts for our cars, they are cheap!

If you don't like your regular stock headlights, i would seriously consider buying these.

Bumnah - Just so I don't feel like I mis-represented their awesomeness compared to stock sealed beams, let me know what you think when you get them installed...

I have already gotten hi-beams flashed at me by a few other drivers, and they are properly aimed (I think) which is a pretty good sign. I should post some pictures of the light cut-off, its pretty freaking sharp.

the difference in the pictures are pretty amazing. I really dont like my stock headlights they aren't very clear. The H4 look sick but i also dont wanna blind other drivers.

I paid a little bit more attention today driving around, the light pattern puts it about 15 feet in front of the car on pavement, and I haven't gotten flashed in the last 2 weeks. Its not nearly as painful to look at as HID bulbs, which are like looking at those high end $100 flashlights.

From looking around, those blue bulbs that Sylvania sells apparently aren't even a blue filament, the housing is just painted/tinted. So in retrospect, I am really glad I got the Hella bulbs, and it doesn't make the car look ricy.

Make sure the headlights are properly adjusted.

Drive up close to a wall. Make a "+" where the lights are beaming.Backup 25 feet.Adjust the light until they point to the bottom right of the "+".

Do the high beam by pointing up above the horizontal line. (I could have this wrong). Work perfectly.

Perhaps being ecode, they're pushing the light too far to the oncoming lane traffic.

i payed attention to my lights and they aren't all that bad there pretty bright and clean( i recently washed the car for the first time since i owned it) so i think that made my lights alot cleaner. So i'll put off on these bulbs for a while. But definetly something to get in a the future.

I definitely need to do this. I have night blindness and my head lights just don't do the trick, and HID's glare too much in the rain and fog.

Mine just arrived and I'm a little confused. I bought some H4 Hella headlamps and I'm not quite sure how to put them on the car. The stock headlights have holes on corner to screw them into the assembly on the car, these dont. How did you guys get them in?

There are four screws that hold the bezel right in front.

Indeed it is lol.
So I just reuse the bezel from the old one then?
Thanks for the help
