I'm kinda late on the topic, but Iv bought the ebay ones for more then one of my 240s, and each time, i used fish tank silicon sealant to reseal it, cause i found most of them leak on the seals, so a little resealing, and iv never had a prob. 30.00 and a tube of sealant for the same thing as one of those expensive brand types, sounds smarter to me, hope that helps at all.
I do recommend doing a test, and submerge the housings under water in a full sink or bucket, or w/e puts it underwater just above where the seal is, if u see water leaking in, then there u go, cause i had a bulb explode from exposure to water inside, from driving in the rain, i was extra cautious when i got Hids.

eBay H4 headlight housings, sadly, do not have remotely close to the same light output as Hella H4 housings do. Here is a comparison of some cheap H4 headlights I had vs the Hellas:

Cheap H4 on the left, Hella on the right.

You can see how scattered the light output is on the cheaper housing. While they did look cooler, the light output was not better than stock with the cheap H4 housings. The Hellas are a significant improvement over the factory headlights. I know this is an old thread, but I hope this info helps someone out.
