Not a Z06, and hard tops are always better for sports cars ( :D ) but nice ride man... Damn good choice. Those things are a pretty good value these days too.
Thanks - For the money, it was a no-brainer.

The first few I looked at were hardtops. I loved the Z06 I drove, but started thinking about the harsh ride (it's pretty annoying after a while) and the higher insurance cost...

A hatch was out of the question (no trunk, and no real storage). Plus, I dig a droptop. :)

That is the only car that i would buy from Obama Motor Co. Is your desire for an LS1 powered 240sx gone?

I'm not surprised. When I was in PHX all I ever saw was Corvettes, EVERYWHERE! You've joined the masses :) I like the C5s best though, cause pop-up headlights rock.

I honestly didn't think much of corvettes until I actually sat in one and drove it. They're pretty sweet cars. That was a nice buy there man!

Sorry not a big fan of corvette's though the C6's are actually kinda nice. I'm surprised you didn't go for a 350Z roadster, drop a supercharger and nismo suspension on it with some aggressive wheels and tires and you'd have a kick a** car. I would think the 350Z would save you money in the end with insurance and parts as well. Personally I don't like convertibles but hey to each their own.

p.s. A *real* car enthusiast would know there were no purple C5's. It's sapphire blue, y0. :)
false.

they made a purple for a few years.

I got a tour of the Vette factory the year they made them....I can't remember the damn name of the color now.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-gene ... urple.html

the color I saw was the Purple Pearl Metallic.

They introduced that with Aztec Gold

F-body owners have mullets. Corvette owners wish they had enough hair to have mullets.

): It's cold down here, sell the vette for something Infiniti/Nissan!

I mean, i would take a Corvette anyday, one of the funnest cars i've ever driven. But you're Greg Childs man, you could have any car in the world! You could find a way to get away with an R34.
But it is a nice car.
I hope the S13 occasionally enjoys your company..

I had a 375whp supercharged G35 coupe, with all of the above. I'm no stranger to kick-a** cars, but there's not a 350Z that can touch this thing without $10K in mods. I wanted N/A power, better mileage, and torque. :)
Chaotic_Warlord wrote: I would think the 350Z would save you money in the end with insurance and parts as well.
Nope. Insurance on this is $650 a year. :) And parts for a Z are WAY more expensive.

BTW, first tank of gas averaged 25 mpg. 50mph in 6th gear = 1k rpm.
Steady_One_S13 wrote:Dang Hitman! You're rich, but I'm not jealous.
FAR from it. I spent less on this than the Cube.

I don't smoke, drink, go out, buy designer clothes, support a babymomma, or buy stuff on credit. :)

I'm rich in friends. :dblthumb:

Holy crap Greg!!!!! A Vette is the last thing I thought you guys would get.

Is this going to be kept stock-ish or is the bug gonna take over like on all the rest of the cars? lol.
