My dream for a Q exhaust is to have all the stock components, and then have a splitter on the rear.... keep the stock muffler for the siltent cruise..... Switch over a valve to a standard resonator (like whats just before the big one) for the fury of 32valves and 278 horses!!!!!!

Nice Corvette-like burble while idling, then a full-on V8 muclecar howl at WOT.
fairly quiet to an old man going deaf, maybe. :pface
Q's sound really nice with exhaust, even if there's no performance gain. you should hear my car, at WOT it sounds really good. i've never heard it from outside the car except at idle, but i've been told it sounds really nice and is pretty loud.

No cats.
Cats work. Sorry to be a downer but they are regulation equipment for sound reasons. To make your car louder by removing your cats is not a sound reason to remove them. (puns intended.)

p.s. Mike, would you be interested in a J30 catback system if I could have it made? BRM quality, stainless, all the good stuff. Just curious, as I'm considering having one mocked up soon.

You don't care about air quality and that was the sound reason for having cats to which I was refering. Vanity at what price? I know you're just a drop in the bucket but....
Except for the odd heat shield, my J's OEM stainless steel dual exhuast with pollution reducing cats performs quite well and is relativley air freindly.
