I passionately hate them, not because they're Bose, but because they're unjustifiably expensive and sound like they're covered in 10 layers of socks.PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:I've got some Bose Tri-ports that would be decent if you could find some for under $50... no inline volume control though. I kinda beat the crap out of mine and they still work great. Not the GREATEST sounding things I've ever heard, but they are comfy as hell.

That was the main reason I was looking into them, actually.snwbrdr435 wrote:^ He doesn't need the best headphone in the world here....
Skullcandy headphones are good for snowboarding and what not because if they break they will replace them. I have gone through DOZENS of pairs of them riding. They have replaced every pair.

As a guy who has worked with Shure sound equipment professionally, the name inspires a lot of confidence.

Its been 9 years, but I bought a pair of Optimus-branded Koss Titaniums and paid $15 for a warranty. The warranty covered EVERYTHING including INTENTIONAL damage, but it doesn't cover wear and tear.
I went into a Radio Shack with my headphones and my warranty certificate a few months later and asked the guy if I could get some foam ear pads since mine were damaged and torn. He said my warranty didn't cover wear and tear, only physical breakage. I was a bit annoyed.
So, I took my headphones out to the parking lot right in front of the store window, backed over them a couple times, and brought them back as a pile of metal and plastic pieces. He was stunned, but he got me a free replacement pair right away.

Try $30, and those headphones suck.infiniti_lineup wrote:Apple gives some nice headphones with their iPods and iPhones. I think they sell them alone for $10 at the Apple Store.

They must be:
1.) Full Size - This means NOT Earbuds
2.) Under $50
3.) Durable
It would be nice if they
1.) Had an inline volume control
They don't need to
1.)Sound perfect
Everything anyone has suggested that doesn't fit that is just being distracting.

I'll tell anyone to DIAF when they're being a racist prick. Period.
