See, I don't need to make excuses. I really don't care about Georgia, nor do I care about Hawaii.

If Hawaii wins, I'll be pleasantly surprised. It'd make the SEC look bad, which doesn't bother me in the slightest. However, I'm not going to say Hawaii is in the same class that Georgia is.

You're taking this all way too personal, but we all can wait and see what happens. It's the year of the upset, maybe it won't have worn off by the 1st.
I guess you're still in your own little world. You actually think Colt will come in 5th place? Hmm...Reading your comments had me thinking that you did know your college football, maybe I was wrong. The Heisman goes to footballs best player. It is awarded to a team leader, which Colt is. It is given to a winner, which Colt is. Now look at all the candidates and tell me who is undefeated this year? Only Colt. A win is a win, whether it's by 1 or 100, it doesn't matter. Colt is a winner.

And judging by your SEC and Georgia comments, it obvious that you WILL make excuses if Hawaii does win, which is very sad. Now everyone is college football has Hawaii ranked at #10 in the country. This includes the BCS, Coaches and AP polls. The BCS ranking is determined by many factors, including "strength" of schedule. I guess you're still living in your own little world and you fail to realize that UH is a good team.

And by the way, Hawaii is a pretty good team ever since June got here. Heck, we beat Arizona State 41-24 last year in the bowl game. Now that has to say something about the program. And just to let you know, Hawaii's ENTIRE athletic budget for EVERY sport is still less than USC's football budget. We recruit primarily from the state, and considering such limited resources and talent, Hawaii is a great team.

If Hawaii does win the Sugar, it wouldn't be an upset. It'll just be another win from a very good team. But probably according to you, Georgia sucks Of course you're probably the only one who thinks so.

Have a good day!

...when did I say Georgia sucks? I hate the SEC, but I'm not saying they aren't good...I WANT Georgia to lose. Of COURSE I'm pulling for the Rainbow Warriors. I also am willing to admit that Georgia is a much better team.

Colt is a decent QB. But he's no more of a stand out than Chad Henne, and Henne would have no business in NY this weekend. He's gotten where he has because he hasn't had to throw against a single good CB.You can't honestly say he's better than someone like McFadden, who ran for 200+ yards against LSU.Any fairly good QB can get his numbers playing in the WAC.He wouldn't be IN the WAC if he hadn't have tried to rape that girl. Why is this hard to realize?

As for the #10 ranking...Yes, they're ranked 10th... and there are seven 2-loss teams ahead of them because their schedule is so weak. Why is this a hard concept to grasp. They haven't played anyone. The one VERY mediocre team they played they almost lost to.

I'm being a realist. See... you look only at the field and see offense. You see Hawaii completing a ton of passes, and moving down the field. Hurray! However, I see corners who are beat every single play. I see linebackers who look like they don't know the first thing about covering a slot. I see safeties looking at wideouts instead of looking where the QB is trying to put the ball. There are two teams on the field at any given time, and I see the lack of defense, not a great offense giving Hawaii yards.

You seriously need to stop your bitching about how 'I'm teasing Hawaii.' They're alright. They're nothing special. Deal with it.

Well, I guess I'll end it here, but, after I say something.

Hawaii's athletic budget is just a fraction of most major football programs around the country. With that said, I think Hawaii has done very, very well this year. To be nationally recoginzed for their good play, to be ranked in the top 10, and to be awarded an invite to a BCS bowl, says a lot for a program with such limited resources. And for you to come along and take away from something that they've worked so hard to achieve, shows the type of person you are. Rather than congratulate a winner, you're over there making every excuse to not recognize such hard work and achievement.

I honestly wonder if you've ever played any organized team sport at any level. I'm assuming the answer is no. Why I make such an assumption you may ask? Because any, actually, I mean EVERY single coach, at EVERY single level of team sport, will instill, well at least try to instill teamwork, good sportsmanship, humility, and a bunch of other character traits which leads to good team players. You, honestly, don't seem to have those traits. Again you may ask why? Because of the fact that you're not giving credit where credit is deserved. You sit there on your couch, probably throughout the entire weekend, analyzing, or at least trying to analyze football games, which you probably have no personal experience with.

Most football analysts and "experts" alike, agree that Hawaii belongs where they're at. You, on the other hand, cannot face the fact that a poor little WAC team is playing in the national spotlight for one of college football's greatest honors, a BCS bowl game. Oh yeah, I forgot, most coaches, analysts, and the AP doesn't know even close to what you supposedly know about college football. And for that, I am sorry

Now the heritage and legacy behind Wolverine football is something that I've always admired. I've always been a fan of Michigan football since I was a youth, especially back in the 90's when Desmond Howard was playing for them. I've always loved the rivalry between them and Notre Dame. A program with so much history, money, and resources is something I wish the Hawaii program had. Unfortunately, this is not the case. We have a very small football budget, and the money from the BCS will definitely do the program some good; a new practice field and equipment is the first things that come to mind. But for you to take away from such a great year and such hard work by each individual player, says mountains about your character. It is very unfortunate that you can't have an open mind about things

Simple fact of the matter is, Hawaii is in the Sugar Bowl and Michigan isn't. Michigan ends the season at #32, while Hawaii is 22 clicks above With the kind of Wolverine football heritage and outrageously crazy budget for the program, all I have to say is

Stop bitching about Hawaii's weak schedule. They're a great team and earned their spot. They're the only undefeated team what more could you ask for. It's not their fault their schedule was weak and how can you penalize them for it. As if I'm blaming you for having a closed mind...nm, it's your fault. Even though I live in GA I hope Hawaii win cuz GA is a cocky team and they're not even that great.

Little do people on the mainland realize, Hawaii's AD tried desperately to schedule "big conference" teams for this season. He lobbied and basically begged many big teams, including USC and Michigan, to play Hawaii, to no avail; hence the weaker schedule. Why these teams declined the offer? Beats me, but I'm assuming it's because Hawaii's offense is potent. They can score anywhere, anytime, in a heartbeat. The "big" teams have everything to lose while UH has everything to gain. It's good to see them getting the recognition they deserve.

I have a short quiz for all NICO members who read this. It's only 2 questions, it's in multiple choice format, and it's very easy.

1. Should the Hawaii Warriors beat the Georgia Bulldogs, what will be Jimmy's excuse?

a) Well, Georgia is a "high school" team so it was expected.b) Georgia didn't bring their A game to the BCS.c) The game was thrown. All players, coaches, assistant coaches, and even the ball boy were in on it. They threw the game so they could win some money! d) All of the above.

2. Should Hawaii lose to Georgia, what would Jimmy's response be?

a) Ha!! I told you so!b) Hawaii sucks! They play in a "high school" conference so it was expected.c) I hate Hawaii because I'm a hater. Hey! Where did my Haterade go?!d) All of the above.

Of course the answer is pending the outcome of the game. But all should stay tuned to see if you got the correct answer

Eric, you really took this personally. Are you really that childish? How old are you, seriously? Even if you disagree, an adult would just ignore it, or at least stay repectful.

When have I ever 'hated' (what seems to be your favorite word, and permutations thereof) on Hawaii? I'm saying EXACTLY what you're saying. They don't have a big recruiting budget. They dont' recruit nationally. They just don't have the talent to compete against a good team. They almost lost to Washington who is HORRIBLE. How is that not evidence?

Grow up.

Oh, p.s. " I mean EVERY single coach, at EVERY single level of team sport, will instill, well at least try to instill teamwork, good sportsmanship, humility, and a bunch of other character traits which leads to good team players. You, honestly, don't seem to have those traits. Again you may ask why? Because of the fact that you're not giving credit where credit is deserved."I'm being objective, you're being passionate.

If you only knew

Let's end it here!

Sorry if I offended you in any way. This thread was not intended for that purpose. I merely wanted to say how proud I was about my boys, my school, and my state. And for you to badmouth people I know, the school I attended, and the place I call home, made me have to stand up and speak my mind. I took personal offense to your comments at a certain level, but I'm not going to let it bother me from here on out. You have a good one, Jimmy.

Actually, Georgia's recruiting budget is over $500K to Hawaii's $50K. No comparison. Hawaii's ENTIRE athletic budget is less than that of Georgia's football budget alone.

Unfortunately, some people don't recognize hard work, great effort, and big heart. They sit on the side badmouthing others--of course when the people they're smack-talking aren't around--when they've never accomplished anything themselves. They bring down others to make themselves feel better for whatever they're lacking or deficient in. Very sad

Which is why they were not able to compete against them, which was my point from the start.

How about WVA? Holy crap!Amazing showing by the Mountaineers, even without Coach Rod.

That and the C1B were the only bowls that went against how I predicted.

Anyone watch Mizzou tear Arkansas up?

Big Ten > all

I live in ACC territory and I'm so glad that VA Tech was beaten last night by Kansas. It should hopefully shut the Tech crowd up till next season.

I'm still waiting for the BCS title game. LSU is favored to win it over OSU, and even though I love the Buckeyes 110%, I still have the bitter taste of last year's BCS game in my mouth. My fingers are crossed that it's not a repeat of last year, but the numbers are stacking in the Tiger's favor.

I LOVED watching Florida destroy Ohio last year...that was just a fun game to watch...unless you're an OSU fan.
