Okay so i got a SR swapped into my hatch in late Oct, 2weeks before i moved up to ohio.

well since the 1st day ive picked the car up i've had trouble getting my car started. when i turn the key i can hear the fuel pump come on but as i turn the key, i just hear the motor turning, but it wont turn over, and when it does you can tell there is no igniting of fuel pushing it down. Now i know its Winter so the cold plays into affect, so over pretty much the whole month of Nov, and early Dec, i was starting my car by spraying some ether into the throttle body........so now my plugs are a we bit fuked. i was trying to get my car started before i left ohio for xmas break but no luck, even with the ether she just wouldn't start. Now a couple days before that we had my car barely running ( it was about 24 degrees out) and we were trying to get it out of the drive way so we could plow it. It was idling at about 200rpms, and under 3k (trying to warm i up) it sounding like it was running off 2 cylinders.

so does any one have an idea on whats going on, or how to fix this problem. i was told that, i believe the ignition wire, might be messed up or something......any tips?

also, the last i could remeber when it was running right-ish, my car would idle at like 1500rpms after its start and warms up, is that normal?

The idle speed at running temp should be around 850 RPM. There are a great many things that could cause your problem, you will need to be more specific. Have you checked the spark plugs? Who did your swap, specifically, who wired it. What bolt ons do you have, are you running mostly stock? When the motor was installed, did you do all the normal maintenance, like a tune up, and a check of all the sensors? Answer these questions to the fullest of your ability and we should be able to better help you.

double check the orange wire going into the ecu look up the start wire on an ecu pin out when you start the car it should get power, if not the computer doesnt know that its trying to start. i had that problem for the longest even after wiring it up like all the diagrams say. If there is no power then run a wire from the ecu to the starter off the solenoid.

i was told to check the orange wire but havent gotten to it yet. The swap was done by my Friends Dave and Sammy from Tiger Racing, out of Norcross Georgia. it was given a small tune up, but im sure of all of the maintenance .
