I have the same size tires and load index. General Exclaim UHPs. Personally think best tire for buck out there.

i can't seem to find very much info on kits to correct the camber from lowering springs on our cars.it seems like with the eibach or similar aggressive lowering options, one of the rear suspension members forces some significant camber. i'm not sure if it's considered a control arm or a tension rod.anyone else have this problem?i was hoping at the very least the sport model since it's a little lower may have a different/shorter arm back there to reduce the negative camber.

when i took the spring of the oem shock... the rod for the shock went to far in and wouldn't come back out....? couldnt compress the lowering springs low enough for them to fit back on the original shock... i tried everything to get the rod back out... is there a lock or stopper on the inside??? (im talking about the shock or strut rod for the front)

need help asap... car stuck on hoist... M45

You need to compress them to the point where they will actually catch. What type of spring compressor are you using. It will actually go if you apply the correct amount of pressure in the correct positions.

Good Luck.

steve, does the sport suspension have a shorter tension rod due to the fact that the sports ride lower? because if the parts are swappable, i'd at least like to change out the rod from my non-sport for sports to see if i can eliminate some negative camber.

I really think the only difference between the two is the shock rate that is built into the valve structure within the shock itself. I would think the RWD and M45 should be similar, the AWD may have a slightly different setup. I will confer with my parts guy for verification.

I have not really noticed a difference in ride height from sport to non sport.

I checked with infiniti parts and the springs for both the front and rear have the same part number.

The shocks and struts however, do have different parts numbers.

Springs determine ride height, so I believe the only difference from sport to non sport is the stiffness of the shocks and struts in terms of suspension.

Correction 6/25/09: Dealer gave me the wrong information. I talked to Infiniti Parts USA and the springs, shocks/struts, and sway bars are different from sport to nonsport.

I read that the non sport is slightly higher than the sport. It may be just spring rate. Ill have to find it. But I read that on a car review page.

you dont have to read it anywhere; i can tell you it's true. my non-sport M sits a little higher in the rear and the front compared to a regular sport M.

That is from something I was working on a while back. Standard wheel arch height that goes along with the pre-alignment check sheet I made a while back.

This link shows the sport having a height that is actually higher than the non-sport by .1 inches...

This link shows that the sport version actually has a higher "angle of approach and more ground clearance...

And I quote...by Mr. Fiveliterbeater, "you dont have to read it anywhere; i can tell you it's true. my non-sport M sits a little higher in the rear and the front compared to a regular sport M.

Wrong! I just love it when proof gets in the way. I told you long ago Five when you bought the sport springs I did not think they were going to lower your car in any significant way(well a little in the rear but certainly not in the front).

These measurements are directly from cars at the dealership along with pictures of them. The measurements are from the ground to the wheelwell.

First car is a non sport M35...Front 28 & 1/8 inchesRear 28 & 1/8 inches

Second car is a M35 SportFront 28 & 1/4 inchesRear 27 & 3/4 inches

Third car 2006 White M35 SportFront 28 & 1/4 inchesRear 27 & 1/2 inches

Fourth car 2008 M35 (non sport)Front 28 & 1/4 inchesRear 28 & 1/4 inches

Fifth car 2008 M35 (non sport)Front 28 & 1/4 inchesRear 28.0 inches

Sixth car 2008 M35 SportFront 28 & 1/2 inchesRear 27 & 1/2 inches

My car before I did the drop was Front 28 & 1/4 inchesRear 27 & 1/2 inches

After the drop Front 27.0 inchesRear 27.0 inches

So in general the sport versions sit higher in the front than non sport and lower in the rear than non sport. The sport springs do lower the rear end about 1/2 inch on average resulting in a less level stance but improved handling.

This explains the sport versions higher angle of approach, and lower angle of departure.

Now you know Five. You are in fact half right. Now take this like a man...
