And I quote...by Mr. Fiveliterbeater, "you dont have to read it anywhere; i can tell you it's true. my non-sport M sits a little higher in the rear and the front compared to a regular sport M.
Wrong! I just love it when proof gets in the way. I told you long ago Five when you bought the sport springs I did not think they were going to lower your car in any significant way(well a little in the rear but certainly not in the front).
These measurements are directly from cars at the dealership along with pictures of them. The measurements are from the ground to the wheelwell.
First car is a non sport M35...Front 28 & 1/8 inchesRear 28 & 1/8 inches
Second car is a M35 SportFront 28 & 1/4 inchesRear 27 & 3/4 inches
Third car 2006 White M35 SportFront 28 & 1/4 inchesRear 27 & 1/2 inches
Fourth car 2008 M35 (non sport)Front 28 & 1/4 inchesRear 28 & 1/4 inches
Fifth car 2008 M35 (non sport)Front 28 & 1/4 inchesRear 28.0 inches
Sixth car 2008 M35 SportFront 28 & 1/2 inchesRear 27 & 1/2 inches
My car before I did the drop was Front 28 & 1/4 inchesRear 27 & 1/2 inches
After the drop Front 27.0 inchesRear 27.0 inches
So in general the sport versions sit higher in the front than non sport and lower in the rear than non sport. The sport springs do lower the rear end about 1/2 inch on average resulting in a less level stance but improved handling.
This explains the sport versions higher angle of approach, and lower angle of departure.
Now you know Five. You are in fact half right. Now take this like a man...
