16k is about where a decent moderate mileage 04 coupe is to be had. The 05s will be closer to 20k.

We prefer comprehendable (sp) writing in the forum so we don't have to waste so much time deciphering what you're trying to say. The lack of a comma or period can make a HUGE difference.

Laziness is not a virtue

I actually have excellent writing skills, as proven by the retarded test they give at school, aced them all. This is a forum, not a job interview or a 500 page thesis. I just don't put that much into my writing, I get my point across and that is what matters for now. No frills, just chillin. As for my work....... wouldn't trade it for the world; right out of high school I became a firefighter, then decided to go to college. Now I'm a Server and I make a lot of money, lets just say if I need to make my rent in 2 days, I can. I build computers for the fun of it, and party A LOT !!!!!! Lets just say I'm more than happy with my life, just not with car dealerships who try to take you for a ride....EX.... DEALER 1- 05 SCION TC 60kMI DRIVE OUT- $13.9K DEALER 2- 08 SCION TC 03 MI DRIVE OUT- $14.5k

WTF!!????!!

This was last week, toyota approved me (got the letter today ) so I'm happy But I still want a "G"
Ok the G is a great vehicle. Dealers will only try to #$@ a customer if you let them. Do your due diligence with lots of research. Although the G is a great wonderful vehicle and in my opinion, better than my previous Lexus, it can be an expensive vehicle because parts are so expensive. The older ones have issues that have been mentioned often on this forum. My advice is to wait until you can afford a new one that comes with a 4 yr 60k mile warranty, all new parts, tires, free loaner when service is required, free roadside assistance, Bluetooth so you don't get pulled over for using a handheld cell phone, attracting a hot gf, etc

Good luck

Instead of retrofitting the newer dash, how about the double din conversion? I know I keep bringing this up, but I've been meaning to get this done on my car, but I don't have the dedication and guts to actually carry it out. I'm sure it'll be a lot cheaper than actually converting to the newer dash...and plus you can pick any headunit you want Here's a suggestion.. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-6...=5684

If you buy it, I'll help you install it. I tore apart my I30 on numerous occasions trying to salvage that damned HU.

With instructions, taking apart the center console isn't so bad. You just have to be careful with the plastic clips.
