they used to be exedy high pressure plates with a 6 puck disc when they first came out, so they were awesome then...they have since changed suppliers and when i got a 2nd one i wasnt nearly as happy.spec clutches are cheap enough and work well.

I had a Spec in my LS1 and it was awesome! I e-mailed that eClutchmasters from ebay, they say their clutches are made by ACT and the price is pretty decent, so I might go with them.

I've had a XTD clutch in my RB20 for quite a while now and can't complain. It seems to do the job very well.

They're made out of graham crackers. LOL....

I got a Southbend DXD clutch from a Z31 turbo and its a 240mm disc using feramic material on one side and organic/carbon kevlar on the other side and had it cryogenic treated so it holds about 513 foot pounds of torque. DXD clutchs are modified DK aka Daikin clutches, which are also known as exedy clutches. They grip very hard when you're breaking them in, and they drive like near stock once you have them broken in, they're wonderful.

XTD clutches are trash!!!!You do get what you pay for, especially with a RB where you have to pull the whole motor and transmission down to change your clutch.

Personally I wouldn't cheap out.

Umm Kryptonite would probably work pretty good too. hmmmmm....

Kansei-Sounds like a nice clutch, but you do know that a chain is only as strong as the weakest link right...

The other thing is that we tested dual material clutch disks but there was cross contamination from each side.Dust from the Kevlar made its way around to the Ceramic/Fermaic material and glazed. But that was under high load and numerous clamp and un clamping.

I've had an XTD 6-puck in a rb20 for more then a year now and it has given me no problems!! been to the track all last summer-- driftin here and there... I personnally like their clutch, it grips real hard but still has a pretty soft pedal feel from the pressure plate. thats just my opinion though!!
