Hi guys im new to the site and i hope i can find some good info to help me out for my swap...i was told this was the best site to find info about sr20det's ok so here is what i have going on

about a 2 years ago i bought a hardbody off my cousin that he was gonna sell or junk it, so i ended up buying the truck off of him and i fixed it up. not a huge project by any means just another small project just to stay busy and to keep me away from the gf thats always complaning lol!

I ended up painting it white and putting my titan rims on it and it looks actually pretty good. the interior i ended up re-doing as well.

the engine is still running great but the transmission is grinding in 1st & 2nd... sooooo... i decided to buy a whole new engine and transmission. I ended up getting a sr20det engine, trans, wire harness, ecu, maf and all the goodies to make it run. so thats where im at now i got everything pretty much bolted down engine and transmission wise...just need to wire everyting up, fabricate the intercooler pipes, fabricate the exhaust, cut the drive shaft, wire up the gauges and hopefully troulbleshoot any lil problems and i think im done...im pretty excited i cant wait till its done..=) ill be looking for some help later on wiring that i think is gonna be the pain in the @ss but everything else im good on..here are a few pics of when i got the truck till its progress now....

Calm down you all! I'm moving this to RWD SR. I know some people there will be interested in seeing this.

NICE truck man. Same one my dad used to own when I was a kid, just seeing that thing brings back memories, too bad I didn't keep the shell and do what you're doing!

the install was straight forward...except you have to modify the firewall so the engine and the transmission fits correctly on the stock mounting points unless you want to fabricate a custom transmission mount

drive shaft also needs to shortend about 2 to 3 in...havent done it but i will some time next week

custom exhaust for sure ,i could use the exisiting exhaust i would just need a flange to make it bolt up to the manifold..but im gonna fabricate one instead

intercooler is gonna be a walk in the park just get some 45,90 degree mandral bent pipes, cut and clamp

just about everything has to be modified but what i listed is the hardest i think.. not very hard at all if you know what your doing, im sure any of you guys can do it with the right tools and patience

the wiring i think is gonna be the pain in the a$$ but i have the sr20det harness and ecu so i dont think it will be that bad but it will be bad for me i have no knowledge of the sr20det wiring but thats what i have you guys lol. gauges will have to be modifed as well...but its a project i want to take it easy but do it right..hopefully i can have her done by christmas thats gonna be my christmas present lol
