Also I think due to the shipping costs the price needs to go down some if you guys are planning on selling a bunch of these things....

If you guys want hardtops...why not just get a coupe or fastback? I'm keeping my ragtop...if i want a hardtop i would've just gotten a regular coupe or fastback...and who the hell cares if its the obvious way? for $800...i can get a 240 at that price.

That's not the point. You know the stock top is about 100lbs... Imagine being able to reduce 100lbs "practically" for daily & track...

A 240 for $800, good luck doing that in CA, shells go for more than that.

And for me, I have a coupe & vert. I still want a hardtop... maybe i'm just crazy.

IMO, the "ragtops" look exactly like that- a rag. I think my car would look a lot cleaner with a hard top.

It's all about preference.

Oh- and $800 is cheap for a hard top- S2k hardtops go for $3k.

The 240's convertible top is very well-engineered - A lot better than more expensive cars had in 92-94.
There's my reason why. I'm trying to keep my car as stock as possible on the outside because it looks really good. I did think about a hardtop at one point...but if i'm going to get it replaced...i'll stick with the ragtop.

Capri, S2000, Miata, Z3, Tunderbird... What else do we have here? Optional hardtop was offered for those cars and they can put the hardtop on during winter, rainy season or HOT summer. I'm always jealous whenever I see those cars with optional hardtop on the street. I think it's all about having more choices. Maybe that's why we like convertibles. Don't you think guys? I wouldn't mind paying $1000+ if I can buy well made, sharp looking hardtop with storage rack and such.
