lots of water and gatorade until I'm not pissing corn syrup.

I wish I had some IV bags and a hanger at the house...I've had some where I'd so stick one in my arm.

As much as I hate to admit it, getting drunk again is NOT a hangover cure :)

My Preventative measures:
Leave a bottle of water on your pillow before you start drinking. (You might just toss it on the floor later, but at least you tried.)
Ibuprofen (anti-inflammatory is the name of the game)
Something with a few vitamins (B,C, and D are your best friends, although E is important if you do this a lot)
Caffeine (A little goes a long way. If you crash you are toast. A regular soft drink or a very slowly imbibed energy drink is the way to go)
Drink good stuff. I can twice as much 'good stuff' and feel about the same as if I drank more pedestrian offerings. Not trying to be a snob but it's definitely true for me.
With that said, Cheers!

I dont think my brother ever got that first memo. Seriously. Just last week he went out drinking until like 6am. I saw him the next day and he said he was still drunk from the night before. He ate 2 7-11 hotdogs and yakked them an hr later lol. So the day after that I said 'what did you do last night?' He said 'got drunk as piss again last night'..

I dont know how he does it. He gets wasted, wakes up at 8am, works 10-10ish 4 days in a row in an extremely hot kitchen that can reach 130+ degrees.. gets wasted again night after night.

Anyways, I have different genes. I drink like 5 times a year. But if I do happen to drink too much, I guess water works the best for me alltho it turns the stomach. Also, no food is handlable the next day. It sucks, so thats why I dont drink.

Vinegary foods help to adjust your body's pH after a night of drinking, then you need to follow up with plenty of water and Gatorade or Powerade. Drinking just the Power/Gatorade is not good for you if you drank a lot of beer, but it's fine for liquor. You need the water to offset a beer hangover because of all the salt in beer to begin with.

Wake up with a headache, take advil, drink water and go back to bed. If I have to go into work I suffer through the morning then go out for chicken tenders/fries on my lunch break. Fried food does the hangover well.

That's not a good idea, because trying to digest milk sugar (galactose) is not easy and takes a lot of water away to do so.

Also, vinegary foods and milk aren't going to work together.

Pedialyte? Really?

I drink liquor. So I down a few cups of water and an asprin before I lay it down for the night. To date, I have NEVER experienced a hangover in my life. But then again, I'm only a moderate drinker.

If I am going out drinking, or know that I will drink more than I usually do, I try to eat a decent meal about 2 hours before, drink plenty of water during the day (about 6-8 glasses) and take a Bufferin just before going to bed with one last glass of water. I usually wake up feeling really good unless the wife only lets me sleep for a couple hours. I think she does it on purpose to make me suffer. LOL

Oh, and by the way, if you are drinking Jack Daniel's, stay away from foods like Yakisoba...it doesn't mix well...

Ah, the hangover...

Absolutely depends on what you were drinking, how much you ate etc. Also, how quickly you drank. I tend to have worse hangovers after seriously protracted drinking experiences. These are primarily a result of dehydration.

On the other hand, if I drink a 750 of tequila in an hour... I just spend an hour puking, a couple sleeping and I'm back up, 0 hangover. This I do not recommend lol.

Water + advil is my preferred treatment for the common, moderate hangover. Occasionally I'll substitute alive and rarely some hair-of-the-dog, usually lighter beers or bloody marys.

Get plenty of sleep, I'm bad at this because I don't sleep in well but it makes all the difference.

Yes, really. Your body needs the electrolytes. Gatorade works too, but Pedialyte is ideal.

Basically, eat a decent meal a couple hours in advance, drink lots of water while pounding back shots, and down a pedialyte before bed. You will be fine.

I seriously don't remember that. I vaguely remember Michele handing me a container of some sort, but that's about it. Also, puking in the grass out front without a shirt. And it was cold.

Hangover cure: There's not one. You just drink a whole lot of water while drinking and after drinking, and some more when you get up. The water also gives you something to puke up so you're not dry heaving.

I got hospitalized with alcohol poisoning once and they hook you up to those IV bags with fluids. My hangover the next day was manageable. However, on long party nights when drinking massive amounts of mixed drinks and wine, I've woke up with a hangover headache the day after the next day. Why? I couldn't keep fluids down. The next day I puked everything up so my hangover lasted into Sunday afternoon. Drinking Fri night ruined my whole weekend.

So, it doesn't matter what you eat or what you drink, so long as you get a lot of sleep and get overly hydrated.

I don't know what kind of beer you drink, but around here, beer has very little sodium. There's likely more sodium in the tap water here.

Even the beer label as my avatar is low in sodium, and it's an extremely heavy 16% imperial stout. The reason is, beer is not brewed with salt. It's not good for the yeast which is what ferments everything into the bubbly drink we enjoy so much.

1. Vomit at night before you go to bed.
2. Drink water
3. Advil
4. No hangover

PS: I generally just try not to drink enough that I would get hungover. Seems to be best bet. IE: drink until good buzz, than switch to water a couple hours before bar closes and drink water.
