I tried that in my '94 Mercury Cougar (auto trans, rear-wheel drive), but never succeeded. Can't do it in my Civic, 'cuz it's front-wheel drive.

Drop it in 1st, eh? Might give that a try. But I'm afraid of leaving it in redline for too long. I blew a motor that way, & I don't want to do it again.

EASY to do with your Civic with it being a 5 speed unless your clutch is toast. Just rev it up enuf before letting the clutch out and hold the e-brake to keep the car in place.

By your theory the transmission would be toast faster than if you were to do the burn out the right way.

Put the car in 3rd hold the brake pound the accelerator and slow let off the brake.

I don't know why I asked the Q45 forum why is there difference between gears, Because when i put the car in third it engages more harsh than when in D.

But I think that has to do with some other issues I doubt there is a difference at a stand still though.

I just put it in D and let it go with the brake slightly engaged when I wanna intimidate a ricer. But I would think the wear on the VLSD would be worse than the transmission.

we posted at the same time lol

I didn't mean you used bleach dude ..But if you wanna get a classic burn out pic give it a try. lol Old school method. And let off the caps lock man ..Gives me a headache .

Dude one thing learn to spell or use Firefox or something.

then learn at least keeping the car in 3rd is good for the transmission till 55 MPH then shift to D, Because in D the oil pump doesn't circulate enough oil to the transmission due to the gearing.

Yea just read some of Q45 techs posts or some posts in the Q45 forum, Dunno if the transmission is the same design as the Q45's but from what I hear its best to keep in third till at least 40 MPH

Dude are you ****ed in the head your telling me that my Q45 can't do a burn out, one of the most over engineered cars in the world can't do a burnout.

Auto or Manual trannys can all do burn outs, Its the idiots behind the wheel that force there cars to do stupid things, And I am not going to ruin my car to prove to you or any one here what a real Q45 can do.

Wow you are really retarded, You make Naladude911 look good.

Never thought I would see the day.

I wonder how long your J will hold before... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM, and the next thread we see is "Hey guys my car is broken ".

And once again learn correct grammar its a shame you dropped out of high school and work at Mcdonalds and some how got lucky enough to find a Infinti to beat on, My advice is give that car to some one who will appreciate it more and find your self a Honda.

Heheheh, this thread is swell. Let the dude beat on his car, guys. We all get on it once in a while. My buddy's FWD minivan will do a burnout if I want it to...don't act like spinning the tires is some testament to a vehicle's awesomeness.
