I know I'll be beating the snot out of my J when I get it. It will see the track much more than the Civic; that's for sure.

What can I say? I'm a speed freak.

Nah...not much to expect performance wise.

My goal is low 300 HP or high 9's down the 1/8 mile, but if I can't reach either, oh well. I just want it to be different than any other J in Mobile, yet still be tasteful. Most of the Js here are either stock or ghettofied. (rims, TVs, etc.)

& I'll run in it because I have to balls to be different & run in a luxury cruiser. Hehe.

OK, you have NO RIGHT to make fun of NICO members if you just joined NICO. We dont have any pics of your car, or a background on you. Ppastos knows a lot about his Q45. I bet you dont even know the chassis code of your J30 (dont use a search engine). What do you mean you dont agree with my mods? Btw, I did my first ACCIDENTAL burnout. I cant drive to school yet since Im a Junior, but there is this kid who saw me updating my cardomain in my grade. He saw the pics and called the J30 a POS. Yesterday I drove to the school after it was over to catch a bus for the first swim team practice, and I saw him walking in one of the school's empty parking lots. I pulled up beside him, and said, is it still a POS. He was like, ya it is, and shook my car by rocking against it. I was like wtf. I didnt realise what I was doing, but I turned the wheel all the way to the left, and floored it. The car wishtailed, "drifted", burned out, at the same time. It was so cool. Now there are huge tire tracks on the senior lot.

Was that against me or this no name? Ya sailor, he is probably getting his mom's base Pilot. Sigh, hes obv. jealous. Some Senior today drove me home in his Caliber R/T (its ****, underpowered, cheap interior, and a Chrysler), and wanted to see my car. So I showed it to him, and he loved it. He was serious about buying it. I said nahh, I need that lol. He was like, its a 1993? ****, its in amazing condition.

Honda Pilot???? That's a grown-up version of the Element a.k.a. "the Cracker Jack box."

& not all burnouts=rice...just the ones where your car sounds like a lawn mower that's having its period...

finally this thread gets technical....for a good transmission for your J i would recommend either Level Ten or I.P.T both out of New Jersey....your looking at around $3k for transmission and torque converter...pricey but definately well worth it...

You can try it, not sure what will happen though or how long it will last.

Hey now that you speak of it when were all the fluids on your J changed?

I am not responsible for any damages incurred to your vehicle due to this post or any other posts under "ppastos"

When I "invest", I want my money to increase. Investing in a car is a sure-fire way to lose money.

Spend all you want on your car but just know that you are not investing that money as you'll never get it back.

I want to know...how is nitrous so dangerous for the transmission? I'm not trying to be a smart-aleck, but I want to know. I've considered nitrous (both for the Civic & the J), but I don't want to blow anything & spend $$$s in repairs.

A transmission is built to withstand a certain amount of torque. When you exceed that amount, stuff starts to grenade.

So how much torque is the J's trans able to handle before overload??

Since this thread is a bout burnouts, i drifted again by accident. To much power + noob+ RWD= drift. I was making a right at a busy intersection, lost my temper because i wanted to make a left, but a women driver blocked the whole intersection, so i had to go right. I floored it, drifted, thank god for watching car movies, i counter steered into the curb. I heard some people yell "woah, and holy ****" lol. I pulled over, and no damage. Thank god.

This ain't Tokyo Drift homie. *lol*

J30s have that problem of "accidental" drifting, don't they?? Makes for a good show if it weren't so dangerous.

Sucks to not have TCS AKA Traction Control System or a second gear start TCU AKA Transmission Control Unit.
