That stuff is pretty good for track use, it keeps from detonating at high RPM... but I don't use it very often at all... Nissan and Infinities are not generally renowned for their acceptance of fuel additives, cleaners, etc.

So I would caution anyone trying this... They have picky fuel injectors from my understanding. Good word of advice... toddnos

when i was running squeeze, i would always pull my plugs. I was having detonation problems, and i used the NOS fuel additive to try and combat the problem. Although it may have stopped detonating a little, i was just plain alarmed by the rusty color of my plugs more than anything.Id recomend good 100 octane fuel over a fuel octane booster.Thats what worked best for me.In keeping with the original topic:100 bux worth of 100 octane is a good investment.

Got me scared now, but I only used 2 bottles on the last two track days with no adverse effects.

I think you're right about the 100octane, I just can't get any locally... or Nitrous for that matter, it's illegal here, and I'd have to travel like 400km just to get refills...

I tried to get a NOS system on ebay, and the guy ripped me off... I got refunded, but haven't really thought too much more about it now in winter. What car did you have nitrous installed in? Wait, I think I remember it was a civic That's sweet man, I bet it would pull

Nitrous is hands down the most effective and cheap way to achieve impressive gains. For under 2K you could have gained over 100 whp in some cases... not too shabby

i ran nitrous on two different civicsa 98 coupe with a single camand most recently a 91 hatch with a CRV motor. With just cams and a fifty shot dry kit that car made 230/210TQ to the wheel. It was wicked fast!!The difficulty in removing spark plugs scares me with running nitrous on the VQ. I realize wideband monitoring can alert a person to lean conditions, but any old hotrod guy who squeezes will tell you that monitoring the plugs is essential.Im sticking to NA with the G i think...

I have Nitrogen in my tires---best decision I ever made for my tires. However, if you drive the car hard, the tires will still wear out just as quickly, as I di with my Toyo Proxes T1R---I need two rear tires in the next 4 weeks. Nitrogen is so good, that without a wheel alignment, your tires will actually wear, relatively evenly. The stability of the car and handling is improved as well. Last time I had a wheel alignment, I felt it was a waste of money as I felt the Nitrogen in my tires were doing an outstanding job wearing my tires evenly, even without a toe and camber adjustment. Our G's tend to generally have an uneven wear charcteristics especially on the rear wheels.

The 91 Civic hatchback is dead fast with or without NOS. I once saw a guy with a completely gutted 91 hatchback. The car looked so empty on the inside--it had only the drivers seat and passenger seat inside. The panels inside the body were all removed. It looked like something that had to be sent to a junk yard. Only thing functional in the car was the engine and transmission. My God, that little thing was dead fast. It held its own with my G. Ever since, i stay away from those 90-91 Hinda Civic hatchbacks. I don't race them because I don't know if it is a sleeper car or not. If you meet the wrong one on a wrong day, even with a G, it might hand you your a$$ in a disgraceful way. And most amazingly, they can literally rev their tiny engines to redline everyday. Isn't it amazing that I fear being beaten in my G by a 1991 Honda Civic than I am of a 2007 Civic Si???? Go figure!!!!

You won't be puting money in their pockets because those PurigeN98 machines cost a fortune.

Well he could fill all the tires of the Cars he sells with Nitrogen and get some repeat business to offset the cost of the equipment, plus make some wonderful friends of his customers.

So you have a better idea of how good Nitrogen really is, I have zero "0" threads on my rear wheels, as outlined by an Infiniti tech who changed my oil last weekend. Yet I am able to still take my car out to the secret track for flogging. Though my max speeds at some point on the track have reduced by about 5 mph just to be safe. However, on a straight road, I flog it just as hard without problems beyond trying to gain traction. Nonetheless, it is still fun to go fast around my secret track. But in the rain, I use my VDC ON just to stay safe until I get a new set of rear tires. Nitrogen + Toyo Proxes T1R is a winning strategy from new tire to old tire. When I had the Bridgestones RE0050A, and when it aged, i could barely drive straight on a dry day, as fast as i wanted to. It was just frustrating.

Any dealership who makes the earth shattering mistake of filling up the tires of their cars with Nitrogen for free, will end up regretting it. Most people won't even come back for months. It takes about 2 months to even loose close to 4 PSI. So, the dealership needs to charge some money upfront for initial filling and for the many months the owner won't be back to refill the tires.

When i used to use air in my tires, during winter, my TPMS would come on about twice or thrice throughout winter. This year, and since I started using Nitrogen, I barely remember that I have TPMS---it has not come on at all.

$40/set of tires is what they charged at my local dealership. They stopped offering the service once the machine went down as it was on loan from the company and the repair bill was $10k.
